Had a fat market that was on fire sending our top 

fats out at $143.50. We did have good activity 

in all classes. We also found our weigh cows 

and bulls to gain ground calling it 4 to 6 higher. 

We ended the afternoon with some good sets of 

feeders, also finding good activity in all weight 

classes. If you are wanting to move any feeder 

cattle, it looks like it would be an awful good 

time to get wheels under them. Our next feeder 

special will be May 18 with some super sets on 

the list. If you are thinking about moving any 

feeders, fats or bred cows, give us a call and 

our team would be happy to go to work for you!

The last couple months we have talked about radon testing and where radon 

can be found. After radon testing is done, if levels are elevated the next step is 

mitigating. Most commonly radon is found in the air with higher levels in the 

basement since the gas originates from the ground. Below is an article that we 

found on http://www.fixyourwater.com that does a great job explaining the 

mitigation process. 

For those who live in an existing home, don’t worry; we don’t have to knock 

down walls, rip up sod, or even put a hole in the roof. Mitigating radon gas from 

household air is a fairly innocuous task that leaves no scar on landscaping or the 

home itself. In order to mitigate radon, we simply put a pipe below the home’s 

foundation, attach that pipe to another which runs up along the outside wall 

of the home, and attach that to a fan which draws the radon up, over, and out 

of the home. 

The above technique is referred to as sub-slab depressurization and is extremely 

effective for radon mitigation in a home’s air because almost all radon seeps in 

from the foundation. Radon gas comes from the decay of naturally occurring 

radioactive elements found in the ground. By pulling this dangerous gas out 

from under the foundation, we can prevent it from accumulating in the home. 

Normally we find these systems costing around $1,200-$2,500 depending upon 

the size of home, type of foundation or crawl spaces and levels of radon.
