For more information, times and prices please visit www.english-heritage.org.uk/Bolsover Elliot Wins Gold Award in British Physics Olympiad Competition Derby Grammar School pupil, Elliot Butterworth, has been recognised for his outstanding achievement in the 2016 British Physics Olympiad competition with a prestigious Gold award. Attracting over 4000 entries from year 11 physicists, the annual competition is set by Oxford University. Elliot achieved one of the top marks in the UK and said: “It was a tough exam paper where we had to apply our physics knowledge to work through practical problems. I was absolutely thrilled to learn my result was one of the top 10 in the country.” Headmaster Richard Paine added: “we support each of our students to achieve their absolute potential. Elliot’s result is testament to the hard work and dedication he put in to preparing for the examination.” Derby Grammar School is Derbyshire’s leading independent day school for boys aged 7 to 18 and girls aged 16 to 18.
