A to Z Canadiana (3-6 years)
Happy 150th birthday, Canada! Celebrate our
nation’s momentous birthday with favourite
Canadian animals such as the moose, beaver,
polar bear and Canada goose. Create Canadianinspired
crafts, experience Canadian artists, read
from Canadian authors and explore Canadian
biomes—all activities have an ABC twist for
emerging readers.
*A to Z programs are led by BC certified elementary
teachers and take place in our Early Childhood
Education Centre, which is purposefully designed for
young learners.
Imagine That! (4-6 years)
Dream, pretend, create and grow! In child
development, the power of imagination is well
documented. By stretching the boundaries of
reality through imaginative play, children will fly
to the moon, dive to the bottom of the ocean,
travel through time and even become invisible!
Paints, Poses & Pages (4-8 years)
From creating art with paint, chalk and pastels
to bending and balancing in yoga’s mindful
movements and reading award-winning
children’s books, children will be engaged
physically, mentally and creatively while having
loads of fun!
Build It & Swim (5-9 years)
Use mounds of Lego, upcycled items, food, ooey
gooeys, plasticine, natural materials and more to
build. Build what? Things that roll, tower, launch,
make noise, and make mom and dad say: “Did
YOU make that?” Includes lifeguard-supervised
swims in the WPGA pool, so bring your bathing
suit, towel and goggles.
Multisport & Swim (5-10 years)
Play sports galore including soccer, floor hockey,
dodgeball, basketball, tennis, water polo and
lacrosse. Cooperative games using hula hoops,
the Imagination Station, bean bags, parachutes,
bowling pins and rolling boards round out this
outdoor program focused on age-appropriate
motor development. Includes lifeguardsupervised
swims in the WPGA pool, so bring your
bathing suit, towel and goggles.
Happy Birthday, Canada (6-11 years)
Happy 150th birthday, Canada! Explore Canada’s
natural environments, symbols, provinces and
territories, iconic animals (moose, beaver, polar
whole new way and party, party, party!
