La historia del Huila está sostenida en el legado de la cultura San
Agustín, situada entre los años 1000 AC y 1650 DC. La importancia
de esta cultura fue reconocida por la UNESCO
La región estaba poblada por numerosas comunidades indígenas:
en el norte habitaban los pijaos, en el sur los andaquíes y yalcones,
en el occidente los paeces y en el oriente los tamas.
The history of Huila is sustained in the legacy of the San Agustín
culture, located between the years 1000 BC and 1650 AD. The
importance of this culture was recognized by UNESCO
The region was populated by numerous indigenous communities: in
