OTCH RTCH-2 BRIARBROOKS ZIP-A-DEE-DO-DA UD RTX JS-O GS-O RV-O , “Zippy”, was my dog of many firsts. She was my first dog to
title beyond novice in obedience, my first rally dog, my first agility dog, my first ASCA Nationals Finals winner, my first dog to finish atop the
year-end ASCA merit standings. From her beginnings as a shy, fearful puppy she blossomed into a wonderful companion and partner, both
in and out of the show ring. Zip started in the rally program during it’s first year of existence, and was one of the first dogs to earn a RTCH
title. We competed in the first Rally Finals in Bakersfield, finishing second. As the next year started, I knew Zip was approaching the end of
her show career and I was hoping she could finish on top. She did just that, ending the 2012-2013 year as the Rally Trial Champion Merit #1
and the Rally Finals Champion. ASCA Nationals 2013 marked the end of Zip’s competitive show career. We showed a few times after that
just for fun and to keep her active. She was an excellent partner, companion and huge piece of my heart for over 13 years. I lost Zip in July
2016 from complications of Vestibular Disease, but she lives on in my heart and memories.
