Enjoyed the land and wildlife
William Rockwell Mosher
October 20, 1937 – March 1, 2017
Born in Consort, Ab. to Charlie and
Minnie Mosher, Bill lived his whole
life on the land between Consort and
Coronation.
Dad went to school in Loyalist and
Consort and especially enjoyed participating
in 4-H and Air Cadets during
his high school years.
He soon met a young teacher, Wilma
Tennant, who became the love of his
life. They married July 9, 1960 and

ALLAN, Margaret “Jean”
Jean passed away on Feb. 21, 2017 at
the age of 72.
Jean is survived by her three sons,
Richard (Cheryl),
Brian, and
Charlie; grandchildren
Waylon,
Hayley, Alyssa,
Kaelyn and
Taylor; her sisters
Charlotte
(Dale) and Edith,
and sister-in-law
Mildred Taylor.
Jean was predeceased
by her
parents, James
and Edith Taylor,
and brothers Ian
and James D.
Taylor.
Mother was a
caring considerate
woman
that was loved by
many and she
will be missed by
family and
friends. We are
respecting
Mother’s wishes
for no funeral or
memorial.

OBITUARIES
together in 1962 bought the farm in the
Talbot community where they spent
the rest of their days.
It was hard to make ends
meet in the early days but we
always had something to eat,
and always bought apples to
“keep the doctor away” and
made good use of the paper
wrappers that came with them!
A fire took the barn in the
early years which was a hidden
blessing as the insurance made
the land payments that year.
Fighting fire was just one of
the many memories of community
coming together that were part of
the heritage we knew growing up.
Dad was a very hard working man,
and did whatever work was needed to
keep the farm going, so that by the
time his kids reached their teen years,
things were running smoothly and we
enjoyed many good things and times
together.

Bill passed away at his home on the
farm he loved March 1, 2017. Right up
through his last days, he
was able to enjoy the land,
watch over the wildlife, collect
deer antlers, and know
the care and concern of
family and community
around him.
Bill is lovingly remembered
by his son Lyle
(Alison) Mosher of
Magnolia, Ab., daughter
Lorene (Dan) Dammann of
Lyalta, Ab.; sister Mildred,
as well as 15 grandchildren,
19 great-grandchildren and
numerous other relatives.
The family is very grateful to the
community, especially to the Talbot
Community and Coronation Funeral
Home.
