January sett<strong>in</strong>g will be at the Northampton<br />

Clarion Hotel, located at Exit 18, Route 91.<br />

Tak<strong>in</strong>g advantage of a Jazz Sunday, with<br />

the Ed Mari Jazz Ensemble, the classmates<br />

will meet <strong>in</strong> the Loft Lounge at the clarion<br />

Granby waste reduction program Democrats will<br />

hold caucus<br />

GRANBY – <strong>The</strong> Granby Public<br />

Library is gear<strong>in</strong>g up for its Granby<br />

Waste Reduction Program to be held on<br />

Saturday, Jan. 28 from 11 a.m. to noon.<br />

<strong>The</strong> program will encourage youth<br />

and families to recycle as Granby comes<br />

upon the start of a new Waste Reduction<br />

Program (February 2012). Landfill<br />

Monitor, Carol Battersby will be the special<br />

guest.<br />

Fun, creative ways to reduce, reuse<br />

and recycle will be <strong>in</strong>troduced to young<br />

families with stories and hands on activities.<br />

w<strong>in</strong>ter hat project for February<br />

GRANBY – Granby Public Library’s<br />

“In-Stitches” knitt<strong>in</strong>g group is <strong>in</strong>vit<strong>in</strong>g<br />

knitters to jo<strong>in</strong> them and learn to knit a<br />

new project each month throughout the<br />

new year.<br />

Start<strong>in</strong>g on Wednesday, Feb. 1 they will<br />

feature <strong>lesson</strong>s on how to make a cabled<br />

hat for your<strong>self</strong> or someone you love. <strong>The</strong><br />

pattern will be provided so just grab your<br />

size 7 circular needles and a ske<strong>in</strong> of worsted<br />

weight yarn and jo<strong>in</strong> our fun group.<br />
