Cirujano, Noel C. Editor-in-chief KAVOGUE Phil. Contemporary Issue It’s not for anything “green,” because truly, teachers are bananas. For the longest time, bananas and teachers have been wrongly stereotyped. For example, bananas aren’t things for sex, they’re just but fruits. Similarly, teachers are not all “Tapias”, they’re actually awesome and sexy. Gone are the days for silly impressions. The time is now to be more appreciative and less judgmental. At the end of the day, it won’t make sense saying that because some bananas are rotten, all bananas are foul. The same way, it doesn’t mean that because some teachers are bad, all teachers are wicked. We are still the ones who shape how we see the things around us, whether good or bad, therefore, we are responsible for any sort of prejudice that we might cause. We are accountable for the things we say and event think of. As much as possible, we practice looking at things and regard people, the best way we can. We don’t focus at what’s negative, but more importantly we gaze and appreciate what’s good. The next time we see a teacher: we don’t think of killer eyeglasses or terror stilettoes, but instead we think of bananas, because, “saging lang ang may puso.”
