BU YARIMADADAN<br />
TARiH FIŞKIRIYOR<br />
Tarihi Yarımada ya da Suriçi; Haliç,<br />
İstanbul Boğazı ve Marmara Denizi ile<br />
çevrili olan; İstanbul şehrinin ilk kurulduğu<br />
ve geliştiği bölgeye verilen addır. Bölgenin<br />
Tarihi Yarımada olarak adlandırılmasının<br />
nedeni İstanbul'un en eski yerleşim yeri olmasının<br />
yanı sıra, içinde bulundurduğu<br />
sayısız tarihi eserdir. Bizans ve Osmanlı<br />
dönemlerinden kalma onlarca saray, cami,<br />
kilise, çeşme, Dikilitaş ve konut tarihî yarımadanın<br />
simgeleridir.<br />

15.yy.dan 19.yy.a kadar<br />
Osmanlı padişahlarının<br />
yaşadığı Topkapı Sarayı,<br />
muhteşem mimarisi ve<br />

görülmesi gereken yerlerdendir.<br />
Tarihi yarımadanın en popüler yeri<br />
olan Sultanahmet Meydanı, aynı zamanda<br />
Hipodrom ve At Meydanı olarak da<br />
bilinmektedir. Burası İstanbul'un en çok<br />
turist çeken mekanlardandır. Sultanahmet<br />
Camii, Ayasofya Müzesi, Topkapı Sarayı,<br />
Yerebatan Sarnıcı ve daha nice tarihi<br />
eserler buradadır. Aynı zamanda turistik<br />
oteller, kafe ve restoranlar ile çok sayıda<br />
mağaza da burada eğlenceli ve hareketli<br />

Historical Peninsula or Walled City<br />
is the name of the area which is surrounded<br />
by İstanbul Bosphorus and<br />
Marmara Sea, where İstanbul city is set<br />
up and developed. The reason why the<br />
area is called as Historical Peninsula;<br />
this area is the oldest residential area<br />
and has countless historical artifacts.<br />
Tens of palaces, mosques, churches,<br />
fountains, Obelisk and residences are<br />
the symbols of Historical Peninsula.<br />
Historical Peninsula’s most popular<br />
place is Sultanahmet Square, it’s also<br />
known as Hippodrome and Horse<br />
Arena. This place is one of the most<br />
touristic places of İstanbul. Blue<br />
Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum, Topkapı<br />
Palace, Basilica Cistern and more<br />
historical artifacts are here, in this area.<br />
At the same time touristic hotels, cafes<br />
and restaurants, various stores present<br />
