Reasons to Vote Labour

REASON 4
FOOD BANKS
Food banks are a symptom of two things:
1) that some people care enough about the plight of others and support them
voluntarily through food banks
2) that some people are happy to create a situation where the vulnerable and
least we'll off are forced to rely on charity to feed themselves and their
families
The first group are unlikely to vote conservative, the second group clearly
includes conservative prime ministers.
I realise that food banks were not created by the conservative or coalition
governments, I expect that Theresa May would probably like to see fewer or
no food banks (so that her victims wouldn't have this support to prop them
up a little).
The reality is that people, including some working people, are forced to rely
on food banks. The reasons are varied and include benefit cuts, benefit
sanctions, restrictions preventing asylum seekers from working and of
course woefully low wages and ridiculously high housing costs. Only Labour
has the desire and drive to challenge and change this.
Today the food bank, tomorrow the workhouse....
Is that what we really want?
VOTE LABOUR TO ENSURE THAT PEOPLE, WORKING OR
OTHERWISE, ARE NOT FORCED FORCED TO USE
FOODBANKS BY POOR WAGES, CUTS TO BENEFITS AND
THE CONSERVATIVE GOVERNMENTS UNRELENTING
ATTACKS ON THE POOREST AND WEAKEST.
