A word on Praise and Prayer.
“Is anyone among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? Let him
sing psalms.”
James 5:13
A Praise is a way to express warm approval or admiration for
someone or something. A prayer is defined as a request for help or
an expression of thanks as we address our Lord.
A prayer is how we communicate with Jesus. Through prayer
we can tell him what ails us, ask for help with any issues we have at
hand, and most of all thank him for He has done, he is doing and will
do not only for us but for the world.
Ways to praise the Lord.
We praise by singing gospels, by reading his word and
meditating on it, by saying thanks before each meal, by giving him
thanks. Imagine thanking the Lord for waking you each morning,
guarding your soul as you sleep, saying grace over each meal,
thanking him for guiding you to and from home as you travel to
work…ready? Guess what? You just praised him a total of maybe 7
times in one day! And it takes but 2 seconds to say Hallelujah! Thank
you Lord, Praise be your name. The Bible tells us in Psalms 119:164
“Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous
judgements.” Be encouraged to pray for whatever afflictions you are
going through and praise him throughout the day no matter what
you go through and believe that the Lord does hear you and he will
fight your battles for you.
