CEU Business School provides management education
programmes, and is part of the Central European University,
an American university with its campus in Budapest,
Hungary. CEU is accredited by the Middle States Association
of Colleges & Universities in the United States, and is also
accredited as a private Hungarian university.
Our focus on developing transnational leaders delivers
global management theories in the context of the real
issues facing businesses in changing economies. Students
will maximise their potential among a diverse community,
drawing upon the experience of their fellow MBA candidates,
CEU Business School faculty and top executives from
local and multinational organisations.
The Executive MBA Program – “International Master’s in
Management” (IMM) is a joint effort of four premier
business schools: Purdue University’s Krannert School of
Management, Tilburg University’s TiasNimbas Business
School, GISMA Business School, Germany and CEU Business
School. It was ranked No. 1 for “international course experience”
and No. 15 for overall programme content by the
Financial Times (October 2008) in its worldwide survey of
executive MBAs. This integrated, modular executive MBA,
which begins in March each year, is for experienced professionals
who seek to obtain their dual degree while maintaining
their full-time job responsibilities. Rotating on-campus
instructional time is focused into six two-week residential
sessions over 18 months.
The Full-time MBA is a 60-credit degree programme, which
commences in September of every year and brings together
students from more than 20 countries for an intensive
11-month management education programme. CEU provides
the right balance between theory and practice, with
plenty of attention paid to the realities of the emerging and
transition economies of the region.
The modular Executive MBA, with the same rigorous
curriculum and the same high-quality American degree as
the full-time programme, can now be earned on the weekends
with no career interruption. The programme starts in
January each year and runs in parallel at both the Budapest
and Bucharest campuses. Classes run intensively from Friday
afternoon to Sunday noon, once every two to three weeks,
for a total of 19 weekends per year. Both MBA programmes
are also fully accredited by the Association of MBAs.
The school also offers a Master of Science in IT Management
programme, a unique offer in this region. It is a USaccredited,
specialised business degree that focuses on the
relevant management issues in the technology and service
disciplines across various industries and provides a unique
blend of business management skills development. The MSc
in IT Management is a 30 US credit degree programme, to
be completed in six modules from the beginning of
September through the end of July.
