DEPOT noise protection wall Niedernberg The Gries Deco Company distributes home decoration articles with great success and has built a new logistics centre in Southern Germany. In order to protect the adjacent town from noise caused by loading the construction of a soundproof wall was necessary. Therein the brand lettering is embedded on large scale with translucent acrylic glass. With the help of computer simulations the technical requirements for the backlighting of the lettering were determined. To ensure a uniform light intensity along the full height of the letters, a diffuse reflector was installed at the ceiling of the noise protection wall. The interior is illuminated by Superlight floodlights with wide beam light distribution, mounted at exactly defined positions. The result is a uniform and highly visible glow of the brand lettering. 18 Projects
