11+ Tuition
Focus 11 Plus classes
provide students with strong
foundations in maths and
English. Carefully designed
programmes ensure that
students master all the 11 plus
assessment areas, and are also
prepared for the year 6 SATs:
unlike other providers, students
are taught directly from
personally created worksheets.
Students are assessed
before they commence the
programme to ensure they
have the potential to pass the
11 plus exam and are taught
to a higher standard which
is evident in their excellent
success rate for grammar and
independent school entry.
Students attend one 90 minute
class per week, and have a
further 6 days of homework
challenges. No more than 8
students are allowed per class
to ensure that each student is
fully supported. Throughout
the course, students are tested
under exam like conditions
to fully prepare them for their
September exam. Courses run
from September to July across
Coventry and Warwickshire.

The Big Sleuth
Immerse Yourself in Sixteenth Century Stratford
Step into Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall and immerse
yourself in sixteenth century Stratford. Sit in the very room that William
Shakespeare sat as a pupil in the 1570s, visit the Council Chamber
where his father served as Bailiff (Mayor) and experience the space
where he first witnessed performances by the country’s greatest actors
of the day. Participate in a Tudor Schoolroom lesson and brush up
on your Latin! This immersive, informative and engaging experience
provides a crucial chapter of the story of Shakespeare's life in his home
town - his education and the inspiration that led him to become the
world’s greatest playwright.
Each day throughout the summer holidays you can join Master Thomas
Jenkins at Shakespeare's Schoolroom & Guildhall as he recreates
school life as it would have been for William Shakespeare over 400
years ago. See if you make the grade by taking the opportunity to put
yourself into the shoes of young William; you can even dress up in Tudor
clothes and have a go at quill writing. Classes will begin each day from
10am and run throughout the day, with last entry at 4:30pm.
Films provide background information about Shakespeare's school days
and the historic significance of Stratford-upon-Avon's Guildhall. Built in
1420, this building is one of only a few remaining medieval Guildhalls
in the country. A visit to Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall is
perfect for all ages.

Following the success of The Big Hoot, those giant owls that landed in 2015, Solihull
welcomes… The Big Sleuth! The word ‘sleuth’ means a detective, but it’s also the collective
noun for a group of bears. This fun sculpture trail featuring giant Sun Bears brings the two
meanings together across the West Midlands this summer from Sandwell to Coventry via
Birmingham and Solihull.
All uniquely painted and sited to form a trail for sleuth spotters of all ages! Later they‘ll be
auctioned in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity. There are six bears in Solihull
plus The Core, adjacent to Touchwood is also home to the ‘mini-bears’ created by schools
now dotted around the building where loads of fun activities will take place throughout the
holidays, many of which are free!

Also, young people have the chance to create a special limited edition sleuth bear to take
home in a special one-day artist led Design course.

Our Amaizing MEGA Maize Maze is
opening at Hatton Adventure World
this Summer and explorers young
and old will be able to challenge their
orientation skills to navigate their
route and search for hidden animals
and a mystery character along the
way!
Back this Summer by popular
demand, for a SPLASHTASTIC time
of fun and frolics. Challenge your
family and friends to a spraying,
sprinkling or saturating battle which
we’re sure will be the most fun filled
way to cool down this summer! Hold
your nerve, take aim and catapult the
water bombs at your opponents.
For older children (8yrs+) there’s a
packed programme of daily activities,
not only do we have Waterwars and
Water Battles. Throughout the day
children can get into camouflage
gear to face not one, but three
exciting outdoor Laser Combat
challenges.
Explore the world of exotic animals
in Scales and Tails, watch the playful
goats and other animals in our newly
renovated outdoor Farm Yard area
and get up and close to our first ever
wallabies family and baby Valentine.
There’ll also be our family theatre
where Zoobee Entertains with daily
family cabaret shows throughout the
whole of the summer holidays and of
course our huge indoor soft play area
for little and big kids alike!
