Reserve rental equipment: You don't want to have a video presentation at your wedding and not have access to a high resolution projector or screen. Order wedding cake. Order wedding stationery. Make honeymoon reservations. Reserve accommodation for out-of-town guests. Be hospitable by sending out an accommodation listing so that they can make selections based on proximity, ratings or price plan. Purchase wedding rings. This is one aspect of your wedding that transcends beyond the wedding day. Don't overspend on everything and under spend on your rings. 2-3 Months Finalise guest list. Send out “save the date” cards. Finalise menu. Finalise decoration plan. Meet your marriage officer. Discuss any special readings or traditions for the ceremony. Make copies of readings and forward to those who will be reading them and to the officiant. Final dress fitting. Take along your shoes and lingerie that you'll be wearing on your wedding day. Write your vows. Purchase wedding favours. Make hair and makeup appointment. 1 Month before Obtain any permits required such as evening weddings or licensing for destination weddings. Ensure that marriage banns are prepared and announced in time. Purchase guest book. Draft up wedding programs. Send this to your stationery printer. Enquire about surname change. If you are changing your surname, you'll have to change your driver's license, passport, bank accounts and credit cards. Decide when you need to get this done. Send your wedding invitations. Arrange hair and makeup trials. The final weeks before the wedding Collect Wedding Dress. Collect Bridal Party Dresses and Suits and have them delivered to those who will be wearing them. Finalise number of guests. Follow up on those who did not respond. Send final list to printer, caterer, co-ordinator, decorator & venues. Confirm all details with all vendors. Pack for the honeymoon. Pack for the wedding night and the day after the wedding. Print and pass out wedding day schedules to planning team.
