Margaret described their life together
as being all they ever dreamed of. Their
moving and very inspirational book,
which can be found on The Hamlet
website, speaks of their astonishing
achievement which was groundbreaking
for not just themselves but thousands of
others with disabilities.
From the Toy Library, where the charity
first began at the home of the Wymers,
the charity has evolved to the expansion
of offering a wide range of high quality
services to support over 500 families each
year from across Norfolk and North
Suffolk. These services promote
integration and inclusion by breaking
down barriers that often exist for people
with disabilities.
It is important to realise the work that
The Hamlet does would not be possible
without the funds to do so. A lot of their
funding is based purely upon fundraising
or donations, without such funds a lot of
what The Hamlet offers would be
non-existent.
Those who have donated or been involved
in fundraising events have enabled the
charity to support local families of
children and young adults with
disabilities and complex health needs.
Without such generosity, backing and
encouragement none of this would be
possible. From the participation in the
many events the charity holds throughout
the year to donating what you can, you
can make a real difference!
Everyday funding is needed for the
charity to purchase the simplest of
items to the most complex.
The Hamlet’s events are
always fun and well
thought-out by their
organisers to ensure
a fun day for all.
Stay fit, trim and healthy with Rosemary
Conley’s workshop while raising money
for this great charity, taking place on
Wednesday 27th September, or take part
in their exclusive Halloween
Masquerade Ball being held at Langley
Abbey on Friday 27th October.
It is never too late to get involved, never
too late to help in any way you can, and
never too late to make a difference!
Get involved today!
