Public Policy
WHY STUDY PUBLIC POLICY?
Business, government, and the civic
sector are becoming increasingly
interconnected through partnerships
and collaborative efforts to respond to
society’s problems and needs.
Public policy affects all aspects of
society from the economy to
healthcare, the environment,
education, international relations,
and more.
The BPP may be useful for students
considering careers in a variety of
policy-related fields, including jobs in policy
analysis institutes, research and not-forprofit
organizations, and as consultants for
business and government entities.
All students could benefit from a major
in Public Policy to deepen their
understanding of public problems in
the U.S., policy solutions to these
problems, and their own role as
individual citizens in the policy
environment.
