National
Doctors’ Day
In observance of the day, more than
500 patients said "thank you" to their
physicians this spring through 685
tributes totaling almost $30,000 in
honor of National Doctors’ Day.
The Friends of Einstein Healthcare
Network also celebrated physicians
with their annual Dorothy Zamostein
Memorial celebrations at Einstein
Medical Center Philadelphia,
Einstein Medical Center Elkins
Park/MossRehab, Center One and
Holmesburg, along with a networking
event at Einstein Medical Center
Montgomery.
In addition, Einstein Philadelphia
unveiled recognition boards to honor
physicians and staff identified by
patients for their outstanding care and
commitment.
Congratulations to: John Leighton,
MD - AIDET Cup recipient for highest
patient satisfaction scores; Dara
Raspberry, MD, Janet Ko, MD,
Sumeet Mainigi, MD, and Lisa Jablon,
MD recognized for outstanding care
delivery; CAUTI Prevention Team and
CT Scan Department for excellence in
patient care, safety and satisfaction.
Making the inaugural presentation
of these awards were Steve Sivak,
MD, Chief Medical Officer, Einstein
Physicians Philadelphia, Vince
Figueredo, MD, Facilitator, Physician
Engagement Committee, and Jerry
Zuckerman, MD, Chief Quality Officer.
The celebration of physician excellence
continued at MossRehab as part of
National Doctors' Day celebrations.
Congratulations to Carmen Angles,
MD, Amit Joshi, MD, David Van Why,
MD, and Thomas Watanabe, MD
for recognition by their patients as
outstanding caregivers. Joining in
the recognition were Steve Sivak,
MD, Chief Medical Officer, Einstein
Physicians Philadelphia, and Alberto
Esquanazi, MD, The John Otto
Haas Chair of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation and Chief Medical Officer
of MossRehab.
