Master Plumber certificate

CONGRATULATIONS TO SNIPEF
member Nathan Napier, Plumbing and
Heating Manager at Lambert Contracts,
on being awarded a Master Plumber
Certificate at a ceremony held at
Merchant Taylors’ Hall, London on 13
February. The award recognises Nathan’s
skill and his 25 years’ experience in the
plumbing and heating industry.
Around 120 people attended
ceremony, which had representatives
from eight City of London Livery
Companies. Dr Andrew Parmley, Lord
Mayor of London presented the award
and said: “These awards represent
recognition and reward for men and
women who have excelled in their craft
– be proud, you are valued.” •

SNIPEF MEMBER firm R&I Cruden,
an established renewable heating
business based in Muir of Ord, has
announced the opening of their new
Mechanical Division. After 10 years
establishing themselves as experts in
the renewable industry, R&I Cruden
are well placed to expand into the
Mechanical sector. Their team of
operatives and support staff are
ready for this new opportunity having
worked diligently over the last year to
achieve all the accreditation required
to compete for such projects.

THE BUILDERS Merchants
Federation (BMF) raised over
£3,000 to share between the BMF’s
nominated charity, The Teenage
Cancer Trust, and the merchant
industry charity, The Rainy Day
Trust, at its largest ever annual
Burns Supper held in Glasgow on 27
January.
The event, which celebrates the life
and works of Scotland’s national poet,
Robert Burns, is now an established
fixture for BMF Members north
and south of the border. Over 300
people attended this year including
senior representatives from the
BMF, FMB, SNIPEF, NMBS, Grahams,
MKM, Howarth Timber, GPH, Saint
Gobain, D W Nye, W Madden and
other merchants as guests of many of
the major suppliers from within the
industry. •
