TOP 5 TIPS TO
MAKE YOUR VINYL
GRAPHICS LAST

Use the right kind of
Vinyl
Use only high-performance cast vinyl from
reputable brands like 3M, Avery, and Oracle for
the longest durability. The installation process is
easy and the material you choose will determine
the quality of the wrap. The actual installation of
the wrap is a challenging and crucial task and
hence proper help of the professionals is
recommended.

Prepare The
Vehicle Surface
If you have any wax or polish on the car, your vinyl
will be sticking to the wax before you begin. A
special solution is used first to wipe the car from any
wax residue. Then you can clean the vehicle's surface
by rubbing with alcohol in order to remove any other
residue. It’s better if you fill a spray bottle with ½
alcohol and ½ water.

Keep the surface
clean
Sun has the worst effect on vinyl. Wash your car
regularly to expand your vehicle’s life and remove
any underbody rust. Wraps and graphics have a
rougher life in a hotter climate. Pollution which falls
out on your car gets mixed with the morning
moisture and causes rust like effect on the wrap
lamination. Try to spend at least 5 to 10 minutes
dusting your car every morning.

Wax your vehicle
Waxing prevents top coat of paint on your car
from getting sun damaged and also provides an
extra layer of protection. It acts as a shield against
any dust particles and stops your car from
scratches. For stripes and cut graphics, you should
stick with a liquid wax that won’t give you that
ugly white build up on the edges.

Avoid Pressure
washers
Pressure washing is not recommended as it can
cause vinyl wrap to lift up around the edges. Also,
the texture for your graphics will be lost as it loses
luster, gets faded and cracked. Instead, apply hand
wash to your vinyl graphics with a blend of mild
detergent and clean water.
