YOUTH CHIPS<br />

Youth Chips ready to go before the Folsom Trail Run at Beals Point.<br />
The Chips youth were busy all spring. They started their competitive season with the Spirit of Benny 5K and<br />
10K in Placerville. Then we went to the track, where we participated in the Sheldon Distance Carnival and the<br />
Revolution Express invitational in late April.<br />
May and early June found us at the Folsom Trail Series, a point series of races at Willow Hills and Beals Point.<br />
Both the 5K and 10K distances were offered this year.<br />
Late June put us back on the track at the AAU Region 22 National Qualifier in Riverbank and the West Coast<br />
National Championship (also an AAU National qualifier) in Reno, NV. All told, we had 20 individual athletes and<br />
3 relays (4x800) qualify for the AAU National Junior Olympics meet.<br />
