Adults (18 yrs +) $83.50 $87.58<br />

Seniors (55 yrs +) $54.25 $56.95<br />

*Note - Fees based on 10 week program. Classes may<br />

vary in weeks due to holidays etc. They will be<br />

pro-rated at time of registration.<br />

Drop-in Fees: 2017 2018<br />

Adults (18 yrs +) $9.25 per visit $9.75 per visit<br />

Seniors (55 yrs +) $6.00 per visit $6.25 per visit<br />

Drop-in fees only available if there is sufficient<br />

registration to run a fitness program.<br />

Heart Wise Exercise Designation<br />

The Municipality of Port Hope facilities and programs<br />

received a heart wise designation by:<br />

✓ Encouraging regular, daily aerobic exercise<br />

✓ Incorporating a warm-up and cool-down, plus<br />

self-monitoring during an exercise session<br />

✓ Encouraging exercise at a safe level with<br />

options to increase intensity<br />

✓ Accepting participants living with cardiovascular<br />

and chronic disease<br />

✓ Offering health screening<br />

✓ Having a documented emergency plan<br />

Adult & older adult fitness programs<br />

Cardio Blast NEW<br />

All the exercises are based strictly on cardio. Participants<br />

do jumps, spot jumps, burpees, and a number of other<br />

calisthenics. Location: Jack Burger Sports Complex<br />

Cardio Pump and Ball<br />

We work together to increase your core strength and<br />

flexibility. Alternate weeks of cardio warm-up and free<br />

weights and cardio warm-up and Swedish stability ball<br />

workouts. Location: Town Park Recreation Centre<br />

Core Strength NEW<br />

Core strength training aims to target all the muscles<br />

groups that stabilize the spine and pelvis. Weak or poorly<br />

controlled core muscles have been associated with lower<br />

back pain. This class will help strengthen your back.<br />

Tai Chi NEW<br />

Is a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical<br />

exercise and stretching. Each posture flows into the next<br />

without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.<br />

Muscle Strengthening/Conditioning Beginner<br />

Using small weights and your own body weight,<br />

participants go through a series of exercises to help<br />

improve posture, strengthen muscles and learn to stretch<br />

correctly to benefit the entire body. This class is meant for<br />
