I t ’s a
Match!
At the end of Holtwood
court resides a beautiful
growing family with a bouncing baby boy.
Bailey the two years old son of Nicolle
and Mike is fi lled with energy. Nicole
Boudreau and Michael Rhodenizer.
are also super charged with excitement.
Their life has had nothing short of
excitement for the past fi ve years. Both
Mike and Nicolle felt that they were at a
place in their life fi ve years ago where
they both knew there was something
missing. In fact, its not that there was
something missing but one could argue
it was steering them in the face all along.
In most of the fairy tales the prince goes
in search of a princess in some far away
land or kingdom. In this Story, both individuals
are from the same community.
They grew up in the same streets went
to the same schools enjoyed the same
things and yes in the same time periods
however they kept crossing path yet never
made eye contact. Grown in the community
of Cole harbour Mike is an alumnus of both
the Auburn High School and Saint Mary’s
University. Not only did both Mike and Nicolle
attend Auburn High School together but they
also went to the same University together.
Picture both individuals walking down the
exact same streets but only on parallel sides.
It pasting the same land marks, enjoying
It was at the end of the road
when both needed to turn
around that they realized that
they were on the same path.
very similar views but just able to connect
with each other. What makes the difference
however, is where the road ends. It was at
the end of the road when both needed to
turn around that they realized that they were
on the same path. In the words of Nicolle,
“I was at a very bad place in my life. I had
just come out of a very bad relationship. I
was hurting so badly because of that relationship
that I knew I needed to do something...”
she continued, “I went online to a
dating site one night and
this guy messaged me.”
With laughter in her eyes
Nicolle exclaimed, “I knew
from our first conversation
he was the one.” Mike
chimed into the laughter
as this night of over Four
years ago was about to
be relived. “I was online
and I got this notifi cation
I looked on and noticed
that it says she was a
match.” As both Mike and
Nicolle radiate with joy
remembering the beautiful
period when they both got
together, Mike in a mimicking
manner says “Hi…” and both burst
into laughter as Mike explained: the very
fi rst thing she said without even an introduction
was “HI” with a giggle. “That made
my evening!” said Mike. It was as though of
all the “fi sh” in the sea, Nemo was found.
