three WELS schools near and dear to u<br />
Friendswood, TX for 7 years. Mrs. Nomme<br />

We have been in contact with each of the<br />
with how this storm has affected our fellow<br />
Friendswood was a Quaker settlement 20 miles south of Houston. There are six<br />
classrooms in the newly expanded school with 5 teachers and 10 other staff members.<br />
Lord of Life has 68 students. They have been in school for a week prior to the<br />
hurricane hitting, so their students already had their school supplies purchased and in<br />
school...therefore, there is not much of a need there.<br />
Things that families do need...<br />
Anything to clean with: mops, trash bags, cleaning supplies, etc. As you can imagine<br />
this water is nasty and filled with stuff you wouldn't want in your home. Over 15 of<br />
our church members and an additional 7-10 families from school received water<br />
throughout their home.<br />
Food: This is a secondary need, but a need nonetheless.<br />
As of this writing, all roads from the principal’s side of town to the school are blocked<br />
off due to floodwaters of Clear Creek which bisects the community.<br />
Sienna Lutheran Academy is in the new and<br />
