Exhibition, 4th Bangladesh
Fashion Carnival 2015 at
Emmanuell’s Banquet Hall at Gulshan-1
in the city.
Over 45 companies from home and
abroad are participating in this exhibition
titled ‘Bangladesh Fashion Carnival-
2015’, 4th of its kind & will run till 7th
June 2015.
“from Friday morning visitors already
coming in the fashion carnival to get best
products for Eid,” Ahmed Imtiaz, CEO
of the organizer, told the news agency
today. Imtiaz said the exhibition was
targeted to huge Eid-Ul-Fitr shopping.
He also added, The Global Brand
GulAhmed, brings huge collection of
Original Lawns and they have very good
response this time with their Summer
collection.

Services (BASIS) has opened
a new chapter in the port city
of Chittagong with a view to expand IT
business, creating skilled manpower and
to decentralize the overall activities. A
five member convening committee has
been formed initially.
Last Saturday, representatives of
the BASIS member companies from
Chittagong met with BASIS Executive
Committee members and established the
committee. The committee is headed by
the Managing Director of Copotronic
Infosystems Ltd., Mr. Md. Imrul Islam
Chowdhury. Other members include
– Managing Director of Xponent
Infosystems Mr. Abul Kashem, Managing
Director of Corporate IT Limited Md.
Jillur Rahman Lipton, CEO of Desh IT,
Professor Rezaul Karim and

At the meeting it was announced that
Chittagong is playing a significant role
in the financial development of the
country. There are many companies
there which have created software and IT

premium clothing, salwar-kameez, 3-
pieces, shawals, sherwanis, beauty aids,
beauty products and equipment, fashion
house, gift and novelty items, leather and
leather products and other services. •
Five member Convening Committee formed in Chittagong
enabled services which have been sold to
both domestic and foreign clients. These
companies need to be given the same
privileges and benefits given to companies
which are situated in Dhaka and to take
a greater part in the BASIS community.
For those purposes, the BASIS chapter
was opened in Chittagong. Aside from
this, for skill development and training,
BASIS sub organization BASIS Institute
of Technology and Management (BITM)
