Celebrate the unveiling of Winchcombe’s first Blue<br />

Plaque, on the birthplace in Gloucester Street of<br />

the 17th century scientist Christopher Merrett,<br />

who first put the fizz into champagne. Please<br />

assemble in St Peter’s Church before<br />

the unveiling ceremony and return to the Church<br />

afterwards for a glass of fizz and a short talk by<br />

well-known writer and wine expert Victor Keegan.<br />
