2017 Men’s Haircuts and Styles
When it comes to men's haircuts and styles, I as a hairstylist at Philadelphia Hair
Salon Architeqt North find that men are willing to leave their comfort zone with a little
push in hopes of standing out in the crowd. Men, unlike women, know that when they
leave the salon, in 3 to 6 weeks they will be ready for another haircut. There are many
new hair trends out there for guys that they might not even realize. Trends like fresh
looks, updated classics and even some old favourites. In the years passed we have seen
the men come and go requesting the same haircut as last time because they're scared to
make a switch. Now more than ever we are seeing much more diversity in our men's
cuts.
Let's start off with our men who have thick hair. When we have a guy come in and get
this cut because of his thick hair we want the cut to be able to last. I find that a mid to
high fade on the sides with a very textured choppy look on the top has been most
popular. This cut can easily go from work to casual night out. Styling the hair after the
cut is important too. For achieving this textured look you should use a molding paste
such as Casual Act from EVO. This product will give the hair the look you want with a dry
matte finish. Sold at Architeqt Best Hair Salon Philadelphia.
The Pompadour. Celeb's, Students, Hipsters and Businessmen can all rock this classic
look. The Pompadour a can be worn best for men with medium to thick hair textures.
With two different ways of achieving a pompadour one being the classic way which is
generally left longer on the sides and combed back rather than the more modern way,
which is more extreme where the sides are cut dramatically shorter than the top. A
perfect finishing product for this haircut requires something with a stronghold and a
glossy finish. I would choose L'oreal Homme #6 Strong. This will help keep your new
pompadour in place.
Next, we're going to go for a haircut and style for our men with thinner, silk-textured
hair. Men with this hair texture may feel that their options are limited. No matter the
reason for this you can still rock a great style. Short and structured is the cut I would
suggest. Closely cut scissor over comb for the sides slightly faded to the top. This cut
works best with practically any face shape. A product I would suggest for this style
would have to be ColorProof FiberBlast sold at. This product creates texture and has a
medium to a stronghold.
