<strong>Medway</strong> Library Book Sale<br />
<strong>October</strong> 21st<br />
The Friends of the <strong>Medway</strong><br />
Library Book Sale will look a<br />
little different this year because<br />
of the abundance of specialized<br />
books that have been donated.<br />
This highly anticipated book<br />
sale of thousands of items will<br />
not only be on the shelves of the<br />
downstairs Friends Book Room,<br />
but also as collections, such as<br />
a dozen boxes of books about<br />
trains, an abundance of Science<br />
Fiction and horror books, and<br />
hundreds of Christmas books,<br />
some donated by collectors, next<br />
door in the Cole Room.<br />
Friday, <strong>October</strong> 20 from 4-8<br />
p.m. is the Friends-only sale.<br />
Membership may be purchased<br />
or renewed at the door. Become<br />
a member and have the first<br />
chance to purchase books. Saturday,<br />
<strong>October</strong> 21 from 10-2 p.m.<br />
is the public sale. Most books are<br />
from 50 cents to $ 2<br />
The following Saturday, <strong>October</strong><br />
28 from 10-2 p.m., is the Bag<br />
Sale in which buyers may fill up<br />
a large brown paper grocery bag<br />
for only $5. Friends will provide<br />
the bags.<br />

The <strong>Medway</strong> Cultural<br />
Council is now accepting<br />
grant application to fund cultural<br />
opportunities for <strong>Medway</strong><br />
residents. All <strong>Medway</strong><br />
candidates are invited to participate.<br />
Last year, the local<br />
Council awarded 11 grants<br />
ranging from $200 to $600<br />
for programs that served<br />
every age group.<br />
Artists and cultural organizations<br />
that offer visual, performing<br />
arts and humanities<br />
programs are eligible to apply.<br />

programs that promote access,<br />
education, diversity and<br />
excellence in the arts, humanities,<br />
and interpretive sciences<br />
for <strong>Medway</strong> residents.” stated<br />

be given to applicants that<br />

and/or partner, projects that<br />

projects that focus on local<br />
history. The deadline for submitting<br />
applications online is<br />
11:59 p.m. Monday, <strong>October</strong><br />
