Stony Brook’s 39th Annual Fall Fair
Yoga at the Ashram Presents Fall Open House
Yoga at the Ashram will celebrate
their Fall Open House
on Saturday, October 14, 2017,
from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This allgenerations
event will be held
outside on the front lawn, located
at 368 Village Street in
Millis, MA, and will feature free
yoga mini-classes, free Reiki healing,
hot cider, delicious organic
snacks and much more!
Kids will have a blast with
fun yoga games, playing in the
bounce house and having their
face painted! Mature folks and
everyone in between can meet
up with yoga teachers for free
Mass Audubon’s Stony
Brook Wildlife Sanctuary
holds its annual Fall Fair,
Saturday, October 7th,
from 10 a.m. – 4 pm., a
highlight of the year’s activities
at the popular nature
center in Norfolk.
This year’s all-day family
oriented Fair will be
particularly fun filled, with
the Fourth Annual Wood
Duck Derby, in partnership
with the Norfolk
Community League. The
race of rubber ducks down
Stony Brook will take
place as the Fair wraps up,
providing an exciting finale
to the day’s festivities.
Our list of sponsors has
grown tremendously for
this event, and the prizes
reflect that change. This
year we have a grand prize
of $750, as well as kayaks
donated by Bass Pro and L.L.
Bean. But that’s just the start.
details: http://www.massaudubon.org
The family-friendly schedule
features pumpkin painting and
outdoor games, animal demonstrations
including alpacas and
raptors, and quality homemade
items for sale via local crafters
(great gifts for early holiday shopping).
Tasty food will be provided by
members of the Norfolk Lyons
Club, who will prepare their
demos and decide which “first
class free” to drop in.
“We are bringing the studio to
the front lawn so folks can drop
in and check out the great teachers
and classes. We strive to keep
yoga classes affordable and “doable”
for all ages and abilities.
We teach meditation, which is
included in every Kundalini yoga
class. I love teaching Kundalini
yoga because anyone can do it
and have a positive effect. The
yoga helps us to relax already, so
we can meditate and lighten up,
feel good. Yoga is also playful by
nature. Everyone has too much
