Chris Cumbest is a true asset to Crossgates Methodist Church. His devotion to Christ, in addition to the
members and guests of the church, is above and beyond. When my wife and I went into the hospital for the
scheduled delivery of our twins, we were all alone in the intake/prep area nervous about the arrival of not
one but two babies. Unexpectedly, Chris walked in about 5:45am and said he just wanted to pray for us and
our family along with the doctors and nurses that would be providing care for us. Chris Cumbest has truly left
a permanent impression on our lives from his unselfishness, commitment to serve others, and his humble
approach all while teaching us to serve as Jesus served. – Brian McGairity

in Pearl. However, during this short period
of time, I have come to recognize and am
most inspired by his strong and deep faith,
