Chess Club<br />
For Grades 3-6<br />

Chess Club will meet once a month on Mondays after school<br />
in the library. This is a teen-led volunteer project available for<br />

Hour of Code<br />
For Grades 5-12. Registration is required.<br />

Participants will meet in the library meeting room to<br />
practice coding skills and build bigger, better, and more<br />
complicated projects. This is a coding-focused program.<br />
SAT/ACT Practice Test<br />
For Grades 8-12. Registration is required.<br />
Saturday 10/14 from 10-2 pm<br />
The Tutoring Center will provide SAT or ACT Testing at the<br />
Library. Students can pick up their results at The Tutoring<br />
Center the following week at no cost. Consultations will be<br />
available for families after the exam.<br />
Ghost Hunters<br />
For Grades 6-12. Registration is required.<br />
Friday 10/20 from 7-9 pm<br />
Get LOCKED in the library after hours for a teens-only haunted<br />
house. Teens will form groups of Ghost Hunters and explore<br />
using blacklight flashlights. Each team will seek clues<br />
leading to the perfect ghost story and the team with the best<br />
haunted tale will win a prize at the end of the adventure. Glow<br />
-in-the-dark bracelets will be available for all participants.<br />
NaNoWriMo: Silent Writing Hour<br />
For All Ages. No Registration.<br />
Select Wednesdays from 4-5 pm<br />
11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/22, 11/29<br />
Celebrate National Novel Writing Month by stimulating<br />
your creative mind with this silent writing hour. Students are<br />
encouraged to bring their own material or work from a weekly<br />
writing prompt. One-on-one critiques of writing material are<br />
available with Hannah Sweetser by appointment.
