Leaves may be placed in biodegradable paper bags or yard debris containers. Biodegradable bags on sale at Borough Hall. $2 for 5 bags. HOUSE ADDRESS NUMBERS As per Property Maintenance Code Section 304.3, all buildings and dwellings shall have approved address numbers placed in a position visible from the street or road and that contrasts with their background. These number shall be a minimum of 4 inches in height. Please help us help you in the event of an emergency so that your property is identifiable. SNOW REMOVAL To assist the Highway Department with snow removal from all municipal dedicated streets, roadways, and culde-sacs, all parked cars and obstructions shall be removed from the street for up to 12 hours during and after a storm. • When shoveling out of a driveway, snow should be placed to the right side (if looking at the street from house) of your driveway. • If using a snow blower, do not blow snow back out into the street as hazardous conditions can arise. • Primary streets plowed first, followed by the secondary streets and cul-de-sacs last due to time involved and use of other equipment. • Plows get as close to the curb as possible. • Please clear the area around your mailbox as the Mail carriers will not deliver the mail if they can not reach your mailbox. Residents and Businesses with corner properties are required to clear the ADA accessibility ramps. • Glassboro is not responsible for damage to obstructions in the street. • Property owners abutting public highways, roads, and/or streets of Glassboro are required to remove any snow and ice up from the sidewalks in front of their property. Less than 4” of snow: 48 hours of any snowfall 4-10” of snow: within 72 hours 10” + of snow: within 120 hours If your property is a bus stop or a direct means to and from bus stops or schools, please clear the sidewalks as soon as possible. The cleared pathway should be no less than 36 inches in width. 2017 HOLIDAY TRASH & RECYCLE ELECTION DAY Tuesday, November 7: normal trash collection VETERANS DAY Friday, November 10: collections rescheduled from Friday to Monday, November 13. THANKSGIVING DAY & DAY AFTER Thursday, November 23: collections on Friday, November 24. Friday collections rescheduled to Monday, November 27. BUYING OR SELLING A HOME IN GLASSBORO? A Continued Certificate of Occupancy (CCO) or Transfer of Title is required for all houses sold or purchased in Glassboro before you go to settlement. The forms can be found at glassboro.org/health-housing. Construction permits issued for the said property will be verified at the time of the inspection to make sure they were closed out. Failure to adhere to this ordinance shall result in a summons being issued. Parkways and driveways that are extended without proper permitting are also subject to be issued a summons. Any requests to extend a parking area should be directed to the Glassboro Zoning Officer at (856) 881-9230 Ext. 88311 or in person in the Code Enforcement Office located at 10 S.
