The <strong>BMW</strong> I series feature <strong>BMW</strong>’s lineup of<br />
electric cars. There are currently two cars in<br />
this range: the all-electric <strong>BMW</strong> i3 and the plugin<br />
hybrid <strong>BMW</strong> i8. Both the i3 and the i8 have<br />
foundations made from carbon fiber reinforced<br />
plastic, a material as strong as steel but half as<br />
heavy.<br />
