Operation Christmas Child
Word of Peace is honored to be a Relay
Center for Operaon Christmas Child
again this year. Simply fill a shoebox or
a small plasc container with a variety
of gis that will bring delight to a child
(please, no liquids or anything that can
melt) and drop it off at Word of Peace
during Naonal Collecon Week, November
13-20.
Detailed instrucons and a limited number of shoeboxes will be available
soon. Visit samaritanspurse.org/operaon-christmas-child to find out more.
Volunteers are needed to help collect shoeboxes during Naonal Collecon
Week, and drivers are needed to make deliveries to Beauful Savior Church in
Plymouth on November 19 & 20. If you would like to volunteer, please contact
Tracy Rowe at (763) 496-2421 or trowe@wordofpeace.org or sign up at
the Operaon Christmas Child table in the Gathering Area.
Help Beautify the
Sanctuary for Christmas!
Poinseas may be ordered from November
12-26 in the Gathering Area. They will
be used to decorate the Sanctuary
through Christmas Day, then you can pick
them up to enjoy at home. Plants are $10
each and are available in red or white.

Delivering meals is a great way to support
your community, make new friends, provide
a team-building opportunity in your
workplace, and involve the enre family.
You’re not just providing someone with a
nutrious meal, you’re making sure they receive the human connecon

Kids’ treats, popcorn, snacks, canned stew, paper & plasc grocery
bags. Donaons may be dropped off at the CROSS Corner in the
North Gathering Area.

Help support families in need from our
congregaon by purchasing gis for
them this Christmas. Choose a wish list
item from the Adopt-A-Family wall in the
Gathering Area beginning Sunday, November
12 and return your donaons to
the church office by Sunday, December
3. Please be sure to include a gi receipt
along with the request slip. Thank you

Give A Birthday Present to
Jesus and to the World
Church School Kids are bringing in their
loose change offering to church school in
November and December for God’s Global
Barnyard. A program of the ELCA World
Hunger Campaign, God’s Global Barnyard
creates sustainable living opons for families
around the world by providing livestock,
resources, and educaon.
You, too, will have the opportunity to
sponsor animals to break the cycle of hunger
and poverty around the world. Look
for the informaon table, sponsorship
forms, and offering baskets beginning November
