NO PLACE 

LIKE HOME — 

In Old Aramaic, the word Horm means “sacred enclosure with the 

right to asylum”. This enclosure, metaphorically speaking, has been 

constructed and looked after in Northeast Italy, a few kilometres 

from the city of Pordenone. It receives great masters of contemporary 

architecture, artists of international fame and versatile designers. But 

a “sacred precinct” is also the precious space of a house furnished with 

Horm.it furniture in which wood is the protagonist with its versatility, its 

colours and its apparent imperfection. Only the skilled hands of Master 

craftsmen know how to work with a material so ancient and noble,that 

the passing of time shapes because it is alive, like a silent witness and 

guardian of our privacy. “The Sequel 2” is the perpetuation of this 

philosophy, that every year regenerates itself with new Horm.it products, 

strictly and proudly made in Italy.

In aramaico antico la parola “horm” 

significa “recinto sacro con diritto di 

asilo”. Questo recinto, metaforicamente 

costruito e accudito nel Nord-Est 

d’Italia, a pochi chilometri dalla città 

di Pordenone, accoglie grandi maestri 

dell’architettura contemporanea, artisti 

di fama internazionale, poliedrici 

designers, maestri ebanisti e artigiani 

del legno. Ma è “recinto sacro” anche 

lo spazio prezioso della casa arredato 

con i mobili Horm.it, nei quali il legno è 

protagonista con la sua ecletticità, le sue 

cromie e la sua apparente imperfezione. 

Solo le sapienti mani di maestri artigiani 

sanno lavorare un materiale cosi antico 

e nobile che il trascorrere del tempo 

modella perché vivo, come un silenzioso 

testimone e custode della nostra 

intimità. “The Sequel 2” rappresenta il 

perpetuarsi di questa filosofia, che ogni 

anno si reincarna e rigenera in nuovi 

prodotti Horm.it, rigorosamente e 

orgogliosamente Made in Italy. 

En ancien araméen Horm signifie 

“enceinte sacrée avec droit d’asile”. 

Cette enceinte, construite de façon 

métaphorique et soignée dans le Nord- 

Est de l’Italie, à quelques kilomètres 

de la ville de Pordenone, accueille 

les grands maîtres de l’architecture 

contemporaine, des artistes de 

renommée internationale et des 

designers polyvalents. Mais « enceinte 

sacrée » est aussi l’espace précieux de 

la maison, meublé avec les meubles 

Horm.it, dans lesquels le bois qui est 

le protagoniste avec sa polyvalence, ses 

couleurs et son imperfection apparente. 

Seules les mains habiles des maîtres 

artisans savent comment travailler 

un matériau si noble et ancien que 

le passage du temps modèle car il est 

vivant, comme un témoin silencieux 

et gardien de notre vie privée. « The 

Sequel 2 » est la perpétuation de cette 

philosophie, que chaque année se 

régénère de nouveaux produits Horm. 

it rigoureusement et fièrement fabriqués 

en Italie. 

Im alten Aramäischen bedeutet Horm 

einen „Heiligen Bereich mit Asylrecht“. 

Metaphorisch ist dieser Bereich im 

Nordosten Italiens angesiedelt und wird 

dort gehegt, wenige Kilometer von der 

Stadt Pordenone entfernt. Er beherbergt 

große Meister der zeitgenössischen 

Architektur, international gerühmte 

Künstler und vielseitige Designer. Aber 

auch der wertvolle Raum des Hauses 

ist ein “heiliger Bezirk”, der mit den 

Möbeln von Horm.it eingerichtet 

ist, beidenen das Holz mit seiner 

Vielseitigkeit, seinen Farben und seiner 

scheinbaren Unvollkommenheit eine 

Hauptrolle spielt. Nur die geschickten 

Hände der Handwerksmeister wissen, 

wie man ein solch antikes und edles 

Material bearbeitet, das im Laufe der 

Zeit noch modelliert wird, weil es 

lebendig ist, wie ein stummer Zeuge und

Original materialisation of a chair (Bla) and a sofa (BlaBla), where the 

very name evokes an ironic and playful conversation, chat, dialogue. 

Sinuous, winding and light shapes, occupy the space without filling it, 

almost whispering sensuously.

poltroncina (Bla) e di un divanetto 

(BlaBla), dove il nome stesso evoca 

in maniera ironica e giocosa la 

conversazione, la chiacchiera, il dialogo. 

Forme sinuose, avvolgenti e leggere 

occupano lo spazio senza riempirlo, 

quasi sussurrando voluttuosamente. 


Originale matérialisation d’un fauteuil 

(Bla) et d’un canapé (BlaBla), où le 

nom même évoque de manière ironique 

et gaie la conversation, le dialogue. Les 

formes sinueuse, enrobantes et légères 

ccupent l’espace sans le remplir, presque 

dans un murmure sensuel.

and his Op Art style. You perceive this item not as a spectator but as a 

player who is actively involved with the object itself. It changes in colour 

depending on your viewpoint, giving the effect of a curtain which opens 

and closes.

regarde est pas un spectateur, mais un 

acteur qui interagit avec le meuble luimême,

Arbeiten des venezolanischen Künstlers

Carlos Cruz-Diez’s artwork has 

been the inspiration of Renato 

Zamberlan when designing the 

Carlos sideboard. Cruz-Diez is 

considered one of the major 

exponents of contemporary 

art in our time. His roots go 

back to the Kinetic Movement 

of the 1950s and 1960s. His 

Op Art work shows that when 

color interacts with the viewer 

it becomes an autonomous 

reality that can be launched 

into space, sans anecdotes or 

symbols, evolving on its own 

with no need of form or even 

support. 

L’arte di Carlos Cruz-Diez 

ha dato ispirazione a Renato 

Zamberlan per il progetto 

della credenza Carlos. Cruz- 

Diez è considerato uno dei 

maggiori esponenti dell’arte 

contemporanea. Le sue radici 

risalgono al Movimento 

Cinetico degli anni ‘50 e ‘60. Le 

sue opere di Op Art dimostrano 

che quando il colore interagisce 

con lo spettatore si trasforma in 

una realtà autonoma che può 

essere lanciata nello spazio, 

senza aneddoti o simboli, in 

continua evoluzione propria, al 

di là di ogni forma o supporto. 

Renato Zamberlan s’est 

inspiré de l’oeuvre de Carlos 

Cruz-Diez pour concevoir le 

buffet Carlos. Cruz-Diez est 

considéré comme l’un des 

principaux représentants de 

l’art contemporain actuel. 

Ses racines remontent au 

mouvement cinétique des 

années 1950 et 1960. Son 

travail d’Op Art montre que 

lorsque la couleur interagit 

avec le spectateur, elle devient 

une réalité autonome qui peut 

être lancée dans l’espace, sans 

anecdotes ni symboles, en 

évoluant par elle même sans 

besoin de forme ou même de 

support.

OUTDOOR 

Hexagon is a modular system composed of two irregular hexagons 

supporting each other, which allows for the creation of endless 

compositions for every need. It can be used as stool, bench or side table, 

both indoor and outdoors. It is available in Lecce stone or okoumè wood. 

The latter, also known as Gaboon, is native of tropical West Africa, hence 

it withstands humidity and light rain. The Lecce stone is a limestone 

typical of the Salento region in Puglia, superbly suited to withstand severe 

weather conditions.

Hexagon è un sistema modulare 

composto da due esagoni irregolari 

che, affiancati l’uno all’altro, offrono la 

possibilità di creare infinite composizioni 

per ogni esigenza. Utilizzabile come 

sgabello, panca o tavolino anche in 

ambiente outdoor, è disponibile in 

pietra leccese o legno okumé. Questo 

materiale, noto anche come gaboon, è 

originario dell’Africa tropicale e non 

teme ne l’umidità, ne la pioggia leggera. 

La pietra leccese, invece, è una roccia 

calcarea tipica della regione salentina in 

Puglia, idonea a sopportare condizioni 

climatiche severe. 

hexagon — 

Hexagon est un système modulaire 

composé de deux hexagones irréguliers 

qui, côte à côte, permettent de créer 

des compositions infinies à même de 

satisfaire toutes les exigences. Utilisable 

également à l’extérieur, il est proposé en 

pierre de Lecce ou en bois okoumé. Ce 

dernier, également appelé gaboon, est 

originaire d’Afrique tropicale de l’Ouest 

et ne craint ni l’humidité ni la pluie 

fine. La pierre de Lecce est une roche 

calcaire typique de la région de Salento 

en Puglia, qui supporte parfaitement des 

conditions climatiques rigoureuses.

Hexagon ist ein modulares System, der 

aus zwei unregelmäßigen Sechsecken 

besteht. Sie sind nebeneinander 

angeordnet , die unzählige 

Kombinationen für jeden Bedarf 

zulassen. Da Hexagon in Lecce-Stein 

oder Okoumé erhältlich ist, ist er auch 

für die Outdoorbereiche geeignet. Diese 

Holzart ist auch als Gabun-Mahagoni 

bekannt und stammt aus dem tropischen 

Westafrika: Feuchtigkeit und leichter 

Regen beschädigen disen Holzart nicht. 

Der Lecce-Stein ist ein Kalkstein, den 

typischen von der Region Salento in 

Apulien ist: er kann auch schwierige 

Wetterbedingungen aushalten.

Leon plays with an awe-provoking optical effect that underlies its salient 

feature, that is, a standpoint-dependent visualization. From the front, 

the doors appear marked by vertical multi-coloured stripes yet, when 

observed from the side, dark or light uniformity prevails. Even the unique 

lacquered white finish produces the same effects through room lighting.

Leon gioca con un suggestivo effetto 

ottico che determina la sua caratteristica 

saliente: apparire diverso a seconda del 

punto di osservazione. Frontalmente le 

ante sono scandite da un motivo a righe 

verticali policrome ma, osservandole 

lateralmente, prevale l’omogeneità 

chiara o scura. Anche la versione in 

finitura unica, laccata bianca, funziona 

grazie al gioco d’ombre che si crea con 

la luce d’ambiente. 

leon — 

Leon joue avec un effet optique fascinant 

qui en détermine sa caractéristique 

dominante: apparaître différemment 

selon le point de vue. De face, les portes 

sont rythmées par le motif des lignes 

verticales polychromes mais, en les 

observant de côté, c’est l’homogénéité 

claire ou sombre qui domine. Même 

la version simple de finition unique, 

laquée en blanc, fonctionne grâce au jeu 

d’ombres défini par la lumière ambiante.

Leon spielt mit einem beeindruckenden 

optischen Effekt, der das wichtigste 

Merkmal dieses Sideboards ist: Je nach 

Standpunkt des Betrachters ist die 

Wirkung ganz unterschiedlich. Die 

Türen auf der Vorderseite scheinen 

durch das Motiv der farbigen Streifen 

unterteilt zu sein, aber bei seitlicher 

Betrachtung überwiegt die dunkle 

oder helle Einfarbigkeit. Auch die 

einzige Ausführung mit einfarbiger 

Oberfläche, weiß lackiert, funktioniert 

dank dem Schattenspiel, das durch das 

Stimmungslicht bestimmt wird.

Ma.Re is an extensible table. The almost invisible runners and the 

contrast of tactile sensations between the materials (wood and ceramic) 

make this table more fascinating when open, rather than closed. This 

is a unique gift for an extensible table. The legs open irregularly, like 

moorings. The ceramic extension transforms the table into a working 

surface which is exceptionally anti-scratch and resistant to staining.

Ma.re — È un tavolo estensibile. Le 

guide quasi invisibili e il contrasto delle 

sensazioni tattili dei materiali (legno e 

ceramica) lo rendono più affascinante 

da aperto che da chiuso: dote pressoché 

unica per un tavolo allungabile. Le 

gambe si aprono in forma irregolare, 

quasi due ormeggi. L’allunga in 

ceramica lo trasforma in un comodo 

piano di lavoro dalle eccezionali doti 

antigraffio e antimacchia. 

Ma.re — Est une table extensible. Ses 

rails d'extension quasi-invisibles et le 

contraste de sensations tactiles suscitées 

par ses matériaux (bois et céramique) 

la rendent plus attractive quand elle 

est ouverte que quand elle est fermée: 

une qualité presque unique pour une 

table extensible. Les pieds, semblables 

à des amarres, s'écartent de manière 

asymétrique. L'allonge en céramique 

la transforme en un plan de travail 

fonctionnel aux propriétés anti-rayures 

et anti-taches exceptionnelles. 

Ma.re — Ist ein Ausziehtisch. Die fast 

unsichtbaren Führungsschienen und 

der taktile Kontrast der Materialien 

(Holz und Keramik), machen ihn 

sowohl zusammengezogen, als auch 

offen besonders attraktiv – eine fast 

einzigartige Eigenschaft für einen 

Ausziehtisch. Die Tischbeine gehen 

unregelmäßig geformt auseinander, fast 

als wären es zwei Verankerungen. Die 

Einlegeplatte aus Keramik verwandelt 

ihn in eine bequeme Arbeitsfläche 

mit außergewöhnlichen kratz- und 

schmutzabweisenden Eigenschaften.

MOONY FULL WHITE — 

Toyo Ito, 2014 

2003: Toyo Ito designed Moony, and with a play of lights inside the 

cabinet, he re-created the phases of the moon on the doors, his personal 

tribute to nature. 

2014: Moony is wearing white, to enhance this poetic vision in an 

everyday object. White amplifies the effect like a sounding board that 

captures and multiplies light, at the same time giving the whole a more 

ethereal, almost dreamlike effect.

FULL WHITE — 

2003: Toyo Ito progetta Moony e con 

un gioco di luci interne al mobile ricrea 

sulle ante le fasi lunari, suo personale 

omaggio alla natura. 

2014: Moony si veste di bianco, per 

esaltare questa poetica visione in un 

oggetto di uso quotidiano. Il bianco 

amplifica l’effetto come una cassa di 

risonanza che cattura e moltiplica la

2003: Toyo Ito a conçu Moony et avec un 

jeu de lumières internes au meuble recré 

sur les portes les phases de la lune, son 

hommage personnel à la nature. 

2014: Moony se revet de blanc, afin de 

renforcer cette vision poétique dans 

un objet d’usage quotidien. Le blanc 

amplifie l’effet comme une caisse de 

résonance qui capture et multiplie la 

lumière, tout en rendant l’ensemble plus 

éthéré, presque onirique.

Horm.it honours Toyo Ito on the occasion of the 2013 Pritzker 

Architecture Prize by covering, with a new skin, one of the most iconic 

products of the Great Master. Polka Dots blends the minimalist graphics 

and formal rigour evoked in the Za-Koenji theatre in Tokyo (2005-2008). 

The new cover is white, like the face of a Geisha, a symbol of Japanese 

beauty and elegance. When the internal lights in Polka Dots are switched 

on, the methacrylate disc inserts are illuminated, creating a magical play 

of light and shade.

While working on the construction of a frame composed of two surfaces 

intersecting each other, Dror "stumbled" on a fascinating discovery: 

expertly cut and combined together the material creates a new form, 

a new structural element which, when open, creates a stable and 

independent triangular base. In QuaDror TM 01 this base is enhanced and 

complemented by a "dress" in extraclear tempered glass.

intersecanti tra loro, Dror “inciampa” 

in una scoperta affascinante: la materia, 

tagliata sapientemente e combinata

supported by an essential structure, consisting of four identical elements 

in an "L" shape (in raw metal or oil-stained ashwood) which intersect 

with each other. The result is an elegant and light table, capable of 

embellishing any environment by becoming its centrepiece.

Created by the skilful pencil of Orlandini Design in 2010 as a homage 

to Charles and Ray Eames, the Ray chair grows up and becomes Ray 

Armchair. The original language is amplifed by the legs which extend 

becoming armrests; leather or synthetic leather, combined with the wood, 

enhance its already strong aesthetic.

di Orlandini Design nel 2010 come 

omaggio a Charles e Ray Eames. Nel 

catalogo "The Sequel 2", Ray si fa grande 

e diventa poltroncina. Il linguaggio

che si prolungano divenendo braccioli; 

pelle o ecopelle abbinate al legno ne 

esaltano le già forti valenze estetiche. 


Née à partir de l’habile crayon 

d’Orlandini Design en 2010 comme 

un hommage à Charles et Ray Eames, 

la siège Ray devient grand et devient 

Ray Armchair. La langue d’origine est

devenant des accoudoirs; cuir ou

The Ripples bench, winner of the Golden Compass in 2004, changes 

its attire to become an outdoor bench by using okoume wood, also 

known as Gaboon, native of tropical West Africa and hence perfectly

craftsmanship transmits the ever-delicate poetry of Toyo Ito.

Coffee tables made with technical materials, unvarnished hard metal and 

ceramic for a post-industrial look. Shapes inspired by the Orient: a Torii 

is the traditional Japanese gateway that leads to a Shinto shrine or, more 

simply, a sacred area. The thin top of the table appears to be floating in a 

void. Not just aesthetically pleasing, the different sizes and heights allow a 

play of joints and overlaps of the functional values.

crudo, che donano un look postindustriale. 

Forme di ispirazione 

orientale: un Torii è il tradizionale 

portale d’accesso giapponese che 

conduce a un santuario shintoista o, 

più semplicemente, a un’area sacra. 

Il sottilissimo top del tavolino sembra 

fluttuare nel vuoto. Le differenti 

dimensioni e altezze permettono un 

gioco di incastri e sovrapposizioni dalle 

valenze funzionali, non solo estetiche. 

TORII — 

Tables de séjour réalisées avec des 

matériaux techniques tels que la 

céramique et le métal brut, qui leur 

donnent un look post-industriel. Formes 

d'inspiration orientale : un Torii est le 

portail d'accès traditionnel à un temple 

shintoïste japonais ou, plus simplement, 

le seuil d'un domaine sacré. Le plateau 

très mince de la table semble flotter 

dans le vide. Les différentes dimensions 

et hauteurs des éléments permettent 

de créer un jeu d'emboîtement et 

de superposition ayant une valeur 

fonctionnelle et non seulement
