Parks play a vital role in a city’s livability, identity, and
economic sustainability. Community leaders understand
the positive impacts of providing a park system with a
creative balance of parks, destination facilities, and
recreation programs. Therefore, the role of public
parks and open spaces are equally as important as
other infrastructure priorities such as roads, utilities, and
drainage corridors. A great park system not only benefits
residents’ physical and mental well-being, but it also
