General Meeting Minutes
October 17, 2017
The General Meeting was called to order by
President Andy Anderson at 6:32pm.
Minutes from the September meeting were
read. Ruthie Danielsen made a motion to
accept the minutes as read. Joyce Kroeker
seconded. Dick Johnson gave the
Treasurer’s report. Tonight’s raffle brought
in $353.00. Mike and Diane Hayes were the
lucky winners of the CB. Thank you again
David & Lori Dukes for the thoughtful
donation.
VP of Activities, Dick Danielsen went over
run guidelines. Trip Fees are to be paid to
the Treasurer, who will then disburse the
funds to the leader. This process insures
that run leaders know what their budget is.
Leaders are to provide a cutoff date for
final sign ups and payment. And please – If
you find you are not able to attend a
run/activity, have the courtesy to call the
leaders and let them know. It was noted
that Keith Garrison did not have ice cream
on the Badger Run. Debbie Garrison
announced the Laughlin Run hosted by the
Bakersfield Club will be April 19-21 st with a
Psychedelic 60’s Theme.
VP of Public Relations, Charlotte Renna,
stated we now have 92 members and 4
more, the Wests and the Merits are fast
approaching membership. Birthdays
added up to 494 years and Anniversaries
added to 201 years. A reminder; a
Member who has missed 4 meetings or
more in the current calendar year are
unable to nominate or vote in the
upcoming elections.
Chuck Laningham found 3 badge
offenders. Debbie Garrison followed with
her Sunshine Report. Dave Dawson is not
doing well. He has had a reaction to the
medication. Joyce Kroeker has started
immune (chemo) therapy.
Old Business: None
New Business: Skip Severance
enthusiastically suggested a donation to a
charity from the club account but soon
realized he jumped protocol. Item will go
to Board first.
A motion was made by Ruthie Danielsen
for the club to provide $2000.00 towards
our Christmas Party at Pardini’s. Bob
Peluso seconded. There were no nays
from the membership. Approved.
Mike Hayes made a motion to adjourn the
meeting at 7:56 after the Raffle. Diane
Hayes seconded.
