Pumpkins, petting zoo bring cheer to Malibu Farm<br />
Restaurant to offer<br />
variety of festive<br />

Holiday happenings are<br />
cropping up at Malibu Farm.<br />
On Oct. 29, the restaurant<br />
on Malibu Pier kicked<br />
off its special holiday event<br />
lineup with a free pumpkin<br />
carving event.<br />

told the Surfside News<br />
via email that she estimated<br />
roughly 300 people<br />
dropped in to carve a<br />
pumpkin and/or say hello<br />
to animals at the Farm<br />
Friendz petting zoo.<br />
For Turkey Day, Malibu<br />
Farm will offer Thanksgiving<br />
sides for preorder.<br />
On Thanksgiving Day<br />
itself, the restaurant offers<br />
brunch from 9 a.m.-1<br />
p.m. and dinner seatings<br />
at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Each<br />
seating can accommodate<br />
100 people, Henderson<br />
noted.<br />
Then, the magic will<br />
continue as the pier features<br />
eco-friendly artificial<br />
snow at 5 p.m. daily<br />
throughout December.<br />
On Dec. 3, Malibu Farm<br />
will offer a gingerbread<br />
decorating extravaganza<br />
with Trevor Zimmerman<br />
from Deuce Events; reservations<br />
for the event —<br />
which Henderson said can<br />
accommodate 60 attendees<br />
over two time slots —<br />
open on Nov. 15.<br />
Other offerings include<br />
Dec. 10 Saint Lucia performances<br />
at 5 p.m. and<br />
7 p.m. — a favorite for<br />
many.<br />
“Santa Lucia has become<br />
increasingly more<br />
popular each year and is<br />

of the winter season,”<br />
Henderson said.<br />
To round out the year,<br />
Malibu Farm offers Breakfast<br />
with Santa at 9 a.m.<br />
Dec. 24.<br />
“The Malibu Pier is a<br />
California State park and<br />
a resource for all California<br />
residents and visitors<br />
and we hope we can add<br />
to their overall experience<br />
at the pier by offering the<br />
events,” Henderson wrote.<br />
