Police Reports
More than 12 vehicles entered overnight in LB
Lake Bluff continues to
experience car break ins.
More break ins and burglaries
hit the village on
Oct. 18.
• Several male adults were
reported going through vehicles
at 4:42 a.m. along
the 0-100 block of W.
Center Avenue. The complainant
stated two male
subjects left in two dark
colored vehicles, possibly
SUV’s, and were heading
towards Rockland Road.
Officers located the vehicles
and attempted to stop
the vehicles. All three vehicle’s
traveled northbound
on Green Bay Road at a
high rate of speed. Officers
followed the vehicles and
lost the lead vehicle, and
the two remaining vehicles
split off at Route 176 and
Green Bay Road.
• A resident reported someone
had gone through his
vehicle overnight at 6:52
a.m. in the 0-100 block
of W. Center Avenue. He
advised nothing was missing
from his vehicle, aside
from a brief case, which
was found in the roadway.
• A resident reported someone
went through their vehicle
overnight at 7:23 a.m.
in the 400 block of Rockland
Road. The complainant
advised nothing was
missing from his vehicle,
but he located a watch in
his front yard that did not
belong to him. The watch
was collected and will be
held until the owner is located
or it is determined
whether or not it is evidence
of a crime.
• A resident reported someone
went through their vehicle
and the driver’s side
door was left standing open
at 7:42 a.m. in the 0-100
block of Warrington Drive.
The complainant advised
nothing appeared to be
missing.
• Burglary to a motor vehicle
was reported at 8:02
a.m. in the 400 block of
Mawman Avenue. The officer
determined approximately
$20 was removed
from the vehicle overnight.
• A resident reported someone
went through her vehicle
overnight at 8:11 a.m.
in the 300 block of Signe
Court. The complainant
advised nothing was missing
and declined to have
her vehicle processed for
evidence. The officer made
some recommendations for
security concerns to the
vehicle owner and home
owner.
• Burglary to a motor vehicle
was reported at 8:13
a.m. in the 400 block of
Green Bay Road.
• Burglary to a motor vehicle
that occurred sometime
overnight was reported at
8:19 a.m. in the 500 block
of Lincoln Avenue. A officer
met with the complainant
who stated she noticed
that all the items in her
glove box were out on the
passenger side front seat.
The complainant stated
nothing appeared to be
missing.
• A vehicle was reported
entered at 8:31 a.m. in the
100 block of Brierfield
Court. A officer met with
the complainant who stated
his vehicle had been gone
through and advised nothing
was missing.
• Criminal trespass to a vehicle
was reported at 8:40
a.m. in the 300 block of
Weatherford Court.
• Burglary to a motor vehicle
was reported at 8:41
a.m. in the 200 block of
West Sheridan Place. The
officer met with the complainant
who stated two vehicles
at that property had
been entered.
• A resident reported their
vehicle was gone through
overnight at 11:47 a.m. in
the 400 block of Rockland
Road.
• Criminal trespass to a motor
vehicle was reported
at 12:11 p.m. at the Public
Safety Building. The complainant
stated his vehicle
was parked in the 400 block
of W. Washington Avenue
overnight. Someone reportedly
entered the vehicle.
The only unaccounted item
was paperwork related to
the purchase of the vehicle.
The complaint was concerned
due to this social
security number being on
the paperwork. Officers
provided an identity theft
packet and explained it to
the complainant.

Lake Forest:
Oct. 27
• Lynette M. Block, 66, of
the 1100 block of N. Green
Bay Road, was charged
with theft under $300 in the
1000 block of Lake Road.
Police arrived on scene
after a report of someone
stealing items at an estate
sale. Officers arrived and
spoke to the complainant
who identified Block as the
offender. Police questioned
Block and stolen items
were located in her pockets
and purse.
Oct. 24
• Steven J. Kohler, 23,
of Lindenhurst, Ill., was
charged with DUI of alcohol,
illegal transportation
of alcohol and leaving
the scene of an accident at
7:38 p.m. in the intersection
of Route 60 and Field
Court. Police were notified
of a motor vehicle crash
in which the offending vehicle,
a black GMC SUV,
fled the scene on Route 60.
Police were able to locate
the 2016 GMC Terrain and
conducted a traffic stop on
Waukegan Road south of
Route 60. Officers made
contact with the driver,
identified as Kohler, and
subsequently determined
he possibly had been drinking.
Officers requested
Kohler submit to field sobriety
test and was later arrested.
• Motor vehicle theft was
reported at 4 p.m. in the 100
block of N. Sheridan Road.
A homeowner reported motor
vehicle theft occurred
sometime overnight. The
2009 Audi sedan was taken
from the driveway of the
residence. The vehicle had
been left unlocked and the
keys to the vehicle had
been left in an unlocked
vehicle parked adjacent to
the Audi. Police have no
suspects at this time.
Lake Bluff
Oct. 28
• A one vehicle property
damage accident involving
a deer was reported at
8:12 a.m. in the intersection
of Sheridan Road and
E. Blodgett Avenue.
Oct. 26
• Delayed attempted burglary
was reported at 9:56
p.m. on Birkdale Road.
Oct. 25
• A vehicle struck a bicyclist
and kept driving at
1:35 p.m. in the area of
Route 176 and Route 41.
Officers checked the area
extensively, including on
foot, and could not locate
anyone possibly involved.
The officer also spoke with
the persons who were in the
area who stated they had
not seen anything.
• An accident was reported
at 4:31 p.m. in the intersection
of Rockland Road and
Waukegan Road.
Oct. 24
• Identity theft was reported
at 3:44 p.m. at the Public
Safety Building. A officer
provided the subject with
an identity theft kit and the
case number.
• A driver was cited for no
registration displayed at
4:38 p.m. on Carriage Park
Lane.
Oct. 22
• A driver was cited for
speeding, driving with an
expired driver’s license and
for operating an uninsured
motor vehicle at 12:58 a.m.
on W. Washington Avenue.
Oct. 20
• Retail theft was reported
in progress at 5:03 p.m. in
the 900 block of Rockland
Road. Upon arrival officers
took the offender into custody.
The reported loss was
less than $300.
Oct. 19
• A two-car accident was
reported at 9:28 a.m. in the
intersection of Simpson
Avenue and E. Prospect
Avenue. A driver was cited
for failure to reduce speed
to avoid an accident.
Oct. 18
• A crash was reported at
10:05 a.m. at the Public
Service Building. The two
vehicle crash occurred in
the school zone on Green
Bay Road at W. Washington
Avenue near 7:45 a.m.
earlier that day.
Oct. 17
• A three car accident with
airbag deployment was reported
at 8:42 a.m. in the
intersection of Route 41
and Route 176.
• A delayed hit and run was
reported at 3:58 p.m. at the
Public Safety Building.
The accident occurred on
Oct. 14.
Oct. 15
• A vehicle hit a deer at
11:15 p.m. on northbound
Route 41.
Oct. 14
• Flooding was reported at
7:41 p.m. at Washington
Avenue east of Route 41,
Rockland Road and Route
41, Garfield Avenue flooded
and impassible, 0-100
block of W. Sheridan Place
and 140-210 Moffett Road.
• A vehicle was reported
stuck in the water unoccupied
at 8:44 p.m. in the
200 block of W. Sheridan
Place. After the water level
dropped, towing arrived on
scene and removed the vehicle.
• A two-vehicle accident
was reported at 8:58 p.m.
on W. Scranton Avenue.
There were no injuries and
both vehicles were drivable.
Officer advised the involved
parties to come into
the Public Safety Building
to obtain an accident report.
Oct. 10
• Retail theft was reported
at 3:04 p.m. on Rockland
Road. The reported loss is
less than $300.
