When Designer Paige Schnell came
across this charming cottage in
Seagrove FL, it was love at first
sight; she knew it was meant to
be her family’s home. Located on
historic 30A in the panhandle of
Florida, this secret community and
small town retreat of turquoise water
and sandy footpaths, make this an
idyllic location for the Coastal Living
Beach Cottage. Seagrove will take
you back to a time when the world
moved more slowly.

Guests arriving at the house are
greeted by a room just off the
front porch that has become
known simply as “the conversation
room”. Here, Paige has used one
of her favorite strategies to promote
conversation and maximize comfort.
The rich blue hues of the swivel chairs
and large round ottoman, are echoed
in the color of the walls and ceiling.
This seating creates the perfect place
to sit and chat by the fireplace.

The open kitchen and dining rooms offer great
entertaining space. The 6’ x 10’ butcher block island
offers plenty of space for impromptu gatherings
and the strategic placement of the counter stools
and benches maximize the seating area. The round
dining table creates a cozy tone for intimate meals
with friends.

When working on any
interior design, it’s always fun to
add animal prints to the project.
