Stop rating Nigerian
artistes over us
DANCEHALL
KING Shatta
Wale has lashed
out at Nigerians
and fellow
Ghanaian
artistes for rating Nigerian
musicians over Ghanaian
acts.
The ‘Taking Over’ hit
maker in a twitter post
which has been trending
on most Nigerian
websites, disclosed that
he doesn’t see anything
extraordinary about
Wizkid, and does not
understand why people
hail him.
He added that he does
not consider the Nigerian a
superstar
“We are living a life where upcoming
youth get surprised about
my achievement because they
don’t have the mind to elevate
themselves.
“I don’t see Wizkid to be too
– Shatta Wale
•Shatta Wale,
dancehall artiste
much
for me but
most of my Ghanaian colleagues
see him like that.
“I want Wizkid to see me and
be like ‘wow’ not the other way
round because what is talking is
your pocket, property, investment.
“I don’t see anything extraordinary
about him, even though he
claims to be the best African
artiste,” he said in Pidgin
English.
He further called on
Ghanaian artistes to start
respecting themselves and
stop rating Nigerian artistes
high above them.
The comments by Shatta
Wale have got a lot of Nigerians
raining insults at him.
However, a Nigerian singer,
Dammy Krane came to the rescue
of the Dancehall King after he
showed his massive support for
Shatta Wale in a twitter update directed
at him.
He said “I stand by you my g
@shattawalegh real things we deal
with … no fake hype!!!”
I never dreamt of becoming an actress
- Gloria Sarfo
ACTRESS GLORIA
Sarfo has revealed
that though acting
was not her childhood
dream as she
preferred becoming
a newscaster or a TV
presenter, she has
come to love playing
roles in movies.
According to her,
growing up, she was
so obsessed with
news casting that she
used to read news to
her siblings for them
to mark her but she
had to change her
path as she got
older.
She made the revelation
when she appeared
on Yvonne
Okoro’s ‘Dining with
Cooks and Braggarts’
TV Show last week.
Recounting some
of her challenges as
an actress, she revealed
there was a
time she had to let
an actor rinse his
mouth with mouthwash
before they
kissed as part of the
movie.
Explaining how
she managed to let
the colleague do
that, the TV3 ‘Music
Music’ presenter said
she also rinsed her
mouth with the wash
in order to make the
act comfortable.
Gloria Sarfo shot
to fame with her role
as Nana Ama in the
popular Efiewura
TV series.
REGINA VAN Helvert is an
In 2014, she was nominated at the
‘Teen Choice Awards’ and received a
citation from Ghana Telecom
University College for her hard work
and contribution to society and for
being a role model to other young
ladies.
Currently, she is the co-host of
