How do you see your business growing in
the next 5 years?
We'll continue to employ women; less
privileged women include single mothers
and women who have been abandoned by
their husbands. They're not just employees
but stakeholders of the company and it just
won't work without them. I also see my
business going global because of the
internet; like I said earlier, I'm obsessed with
digital marketing and I am excited about the
potential the internet has for my business.
Speaking of digital marketing, how would
you say social media has helped your
career?
Let me use this as an example; I have a show
called ''On the carpet with Bolinto”. A lot of
people didn't know I was a presenter until
that show; they just thought I was a fashion
girl. It wasn't promoted as much back then
because there was nothing really going on
online; unlike now where you've got
Facebook, YouTube and the likes. Social
media has helped tremendously.
You did it with your production company?
Yes. It's the same company producing God's
Wives and other stuff done before. So
definitely, social media has helped with
people getting to know who I am; fashion
helped as well. It's a combination of both.
