Safety first<br />
The safety and security<br />
of students is our primary<br />
responsibility. In addition<br />
to the daily presence of an<br />
off-duty JSO officer and<br />
policy of limiting perimeter<br />
access to campus during<br />
the school day, a monitored<br />
system of 109 surveillance<br />
cameras and regularly<br />
scheduled drills for weather<br />
and other emergencies is in<br />
place.<br />
Faith<br />
Equally important to<br />
Bishop Kenny’s academic<br />
program is the continued<br />
faith formation of its<br />
students. Helping young<br />
people develop a strong<br />
faith-life, a moral compass,<br />
a social conscience, and<br />
the desire to live lives that<br />
include service to those<br />
in need — all are foundational<br />
to the Bishop Kenny<br />
experience.<br />
Athletics and<br />
activities<br />
Athletics and extracurricular<br />
activities round<br />
out the school day for<br />
most students. The Bishop<br />
Kenny Crusaders have<br />
a reputation for being<br />
competitive athletes that<br />
demonstrate leadership<br />
and good-sportsmanship.<br />
More than half of Bishop<br />
Kenny students participate<br />
on one or more of 36<br />
varsity, JV and freshman<br />
athletic teams. Nearly all<br />
students participate in at<br />
least one of 40 academic or<br />
service clubs.<br />
