A WORD FROM OUR FOUNDERS
Founded in September 2016, The
KellyDeli Foundation set out with the
goal of supporting entrepreneurial
organisations and bold ideas that tackle
hunger and malnutrition, everywhere.
In a world where 795 million people do not
have enough to eat, a further billion suffer
from food related deficiencies, and 1.4
billion are overweight or obese, we knew
that we were going to have our work cut out. That
said, we're incredibly proud of what we've achieved in our first year
with the Kelly Deli Foundation.
Through our flagship initiative, The Good Kitchen, we've invested nearly
£200,000 in five social entrepreneurs with highly scalable, innovative ideas
to address food poverty worldwide. And through our Hungry for Change
programme, we're supporting amazing projects in some of the most
challenging environments in the world that build community resilience in
the face of food insecurity.
We are incredibly grateful for the support shown by our staff, trustees,
partner organisations, supporters, and the entrepreneurs shaking up the
food system. We want to say the biggest thanks to you all for helping to
build this movement. We hope this report inspires you to continue
working with us.
