Lord, how often we respond to calls to serve you with lame excuses<br />
about our own inadequacies. We always seem to be looking for a way to<br />
avoid your call. Remind us, Lord, that we do not rely on our own strength<br />
or wisdom, but your promise to be with us in every endeavor. In Jesus’<br />
name.<br />
You have blessed us, God of creation, far beyond most of the<br />
peoples of the earth. Help us never to take our blessings for granted,<br />
and help us also to remember that privilege always inspires<br />
responsibility.<br />
Divine love through me blesses and multiplies all that I have, all<br />
