JANUARY/FEBRUARY AN EVENING OF A LEVEL DRAMA Thursday 11th January 6:00pm ............................................................ Sandringham School’s Year 13 Drama A Level class present an evening of scripted works. Caucasian Chalk Circle 6:00pm Considered one of Brecht’s most celebrated works and a classic example of his ‘Epic Theatre’. Metamorphosis 7:00pm Adapted by Berkoff in 1969, Metamorphosis tells the story of Gregor Samsa, a travelling salesman whom wakes up to find himself tranformed into a giant insect. Five Kinds of Silence 8:00pm Stephenson’s play follows a family living under the power of vicious Billy, who abuses his wife, Mary, and children. Suitable for 14+ Please note latecomers will not be permitted entry, as it is an examination. VELOCITY 2018 1st - 3rd February 7:00pm Saturday Matinee 2:00pm .............................................................. IT’S BACK! Sandringham Dance Faculty brings you the ever growing phenomenon that is VELOCITY. Over the last three years we have seen the theatre transformed into a Jazz Cafe, as well as the streets of London, and the sky scapers of New York. Last year saw the dance department challenge themselves even further with live video projection that filled the whole stage area including the floor. We look forward to seeing what this year have in store for it’s audiences? Make sure you get your tickets early so you’re not disappointed as this is always a SELL OUT! Sandringham School’s annual Gym Display showcases the choreography of some budding young gymnasts combined with some spectacular routines from the seniors. Come along and enjoy this family favourite, sure to be enjoyed by all whether aged two or ninety two. BATTLE OF THE BANDS Wednesday 7th February 7:00pm ........................................................... Enjoy an evening of student bands from rock to acoustic duos as they battle it out to win the title and be crowned the ultimate music band. Taking inspiration from the old rock legends, Led Zeppelin & Jimi Hendrix or modern day pop groups, bands of all types playing covers or orginal songs are invited to get involved.
