ML640E series CPE provides enough

capacity to serve many SMB

bandwidth needs over great

distances without repeaters. Traffic

from the CPE is aggregated back

For buildings with multiple SMB

customers or for larger

individual SMBs, a service

provider might want to use

more than 16 bonded copper

pairs to offer 100 Mbps or

Actelis ML640E units are each equipped with 5 RJ45 interfaces and 2 SFPs that can be used for individual

SMB connectivity. The CLE would be installed in the common telco equipment closet in the basement or

ground floor.

The Bandwidth to the Building with EoC is much like the strategy many service operators used when rolling

out fiber to a large building, leveraging the marketability of immediately available high speed service to

customers to enhance sales efforts. Once bandwidth has been taken to SMB buildings with Actelis EFM over

Copper, offering customers a short ‘try and buy’ period has proven to be an extremely successful strategy.

residence. The BBA’s are compatible with any vendor’s DSLAMs and DSL modems, and can operate using

the same pairs delivering POTS as well as support bonding for higher service bandwidth. The BBAs allow

BACKHAUL – WIFI

The Actelis Networks WiFi Backhaul Solutions enable carriers to cost effectively bring more bandwidth back

from WiFi networks that are distributed in a wide variety of locations throughout the metro, many of which

are typically located off the fiber network footprint. Actelis provides high performance Ethernet that is cost

effective and scalable up to 15Mbps per pair, 480 Mbps per link with G.SHDSL and up to 100Mbps per

pair and 750 Mbps with VDS.

The Actelis WiFi Backhaul Solution is based on hybrid fiber-bonded copper EFM portfolio, which is

complemented by Actelis advanced EFM repeaters and its innovative analog Broadband Amplifier to

support extended distances or bandwidth when required. Actelis offers options for both symmetrical and

asymmetrical WiFi backhaul that is reliable, high performance, and effectively reaches throughout the

Providing cost effective bandwidth to meet the growing demand for mobile data services is a challenge

operator must meet if they are to provide competitive services and remain profitable. Small cells enable

reuse of spectrum and “fill in” coverage in areas where high network utilization is expected. The service

ML2300

Large Aggregation

Platform

The ML2300 is a hardened EFM aggregation for Actelis EADs offering cost

effective and immediate deployable delivery of Ethernet services and

transport, over bonded copper (G. SHDSL) and Fiber. The ML2300 modular

design provides very high density of 64-ports per RU and supports multiple

links, extending Ethernet services of up to 400 Mbps over bonded copper and

up to 1G over fiber. CE 2.0 certified, and utilizing Actelis EFMplus and

Symmetrical Vectoring technologies, ML2300 delivers much higher bandwidth

with higher SLAs and fiber reliability to longer distances, reaching more

customer and creating more revenues than any other solutions available in the

market.

ML2300 supports flexible topologies, advanced troubleshooting and

comprehensive OAM capabilities that enables easy integration within existing

Telco or vertical networks. ML2300 can be managed by Actelis management

Repeaters – XR 239 and

PFU 8

Actelis Networks Ethernet First Mile (EFM) repeater products are field proven,

high-performance solutions that enable service providers and enterprises to

extend and expand the delivery of high-bandwidth, high-quality Carrier

Ethernet services.

Actelis’ XR239 extend the reach of EFM services by regenerating the signal

between the carrier’s central office and customer premises. Up to 8 repeater

hops (9 segments) can be supported per link extending Ethernet to more than

100Kft (30Km). Actelis XR239 repeaters are remotely powered by the

Actelis PFU-8 power feeding units and can be used with any Actelis

aggregation ML2300/ML230/ML690 and ML600 EAD/NTU devices.

Integrated advanced trouble shooting, monitoring and remote software

upgrade capabilities allow to significantly simplify installation and lower

maintenance cost.

Actelis XR239 repeaters can support up to 13Mbps per copper pair and are

fully compliant with spectral regulations. The XR239 repeaters can be

installed within existing 239 enclosures (North America standard enclosures

replacing T1s) or within other enclosures to comply with various deployment

scenarios worldwide.

Actelis PFU-8x – 8 copper pairs are supported per PFU that can feed up to

4 repeaters across 4 hops. A link can be dually fed from both sides to

enable an 8 hop repeatered link and a significant enhancement in reach

Actelis Networks’ EAD/NTU enclosure solutions offer service providers and

enterprises a compact, self-contained, NEMA3-hardened enclosure for

outdoor/indoor installation applications.

These enclosures can be used with all Actelis' EADs/NTUs - including

ML600E/D, ML700 and ML500 product lines.

The NEMA3 enclosures offer flexible powering and installation options to meet

most requirements. It is ideal for locations where there is no cabinet/RT space

available requiring either Pole/Wall Mounted or Strand Mounted solutions.

The enclosures support redundant line powering from a central office or data

center via dedicated express pairs as well as Local -48VDC, AC or Power

over Ethernet (PoE) powering.

Utilizing this hardened enclosure, service providers can install Actelis’ Ethernet

Access Devices (EADs), enabling advanced Ethernet service or Ethernet-based

backhaul to any location. This solution supports various applications such as

Ethernet service distribution, Small Cell, WiFi and DSLAM backhaul, as well as

surveillance applications for schools, universities and other campuses, and even

traffic control.

Actelis’ MetaASSIST EMS provides network operators with the

MetaASSIST VIEW

MetaASSIST View is a carrier-class, Java-based graphical

craft application that provides management of Actelis

portfolio. MetaASSIST View offers an intuitive Graphical User

Interface (GUI) for complete Operation, Administration,

Maintenance and Provisioning (OAM&P) of Actelis systems

linked to each-other via the High-Speed Link (HSL) bonded

copper interface.

Actelis’ MetaASSIST View includes many enhancements far

beyond conventional craft applications, thereby simplifying

system installation and management. Features include autodiscovery,

graphical bandwidth utilization tool, comprehensive

on-line help, and step-by-step procedures.

MetaASSIST View communicates with Actelis systems locally or

remotely through in-band and out of band connection. The

management of the remote Actelis systems is carried in-band

via the unit’s WAN interfaces - the high speed bonded

copper link or fiber link.

MetaASSIST View provides a convenient hierarchical view of

a network of interconnected Actelis systems, along with the

status information for each network element and its interfaces.

All connected network elements can be simultaneously

configured and managed. Links to individual views of each

component of the system gives the user quick and easy access

to a detailed information.

MetaASSIST View is easy to install and operate. All actions

are intuitive and can be activated from the logically

composed management views, optimized for common

operations. MetaASSIST View provides secure management

access via Secure Shell (SSHv2) when connected to a remote

Actelis system over an insecure IP network (e.g., Internet).
