AFRICACOM <strong>2017</strong><br />
<strong>AfricaCom</strong> is the biggest gathering of Telecoms & Technology<br />
enthusiasts <strong>on</strong> the African c<strong>on</strong>tinent. This annual event takes<br />
place in November at the CTICC in Cape Town.<br />
This year <strong>AfricaCom</strong> celebrated their 20th year anniversary in great<br />
fashi<strong>on</strong>. The celebrati<strong>on</strong>s included additi<strong>on</strong>al off-site functi<strong>on</strong>s and<br />
was extended to utilize the new CTICC 2 for the first time.<br />
Bespoke <str<strong>on</strong>g>Exhibiti<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g>s<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>HOTT3D</str<strong>on</strong>g> has played a major role for the past 11 years. We’ve been<br />
resp<strong>on</strong>sible in various capacities for stand builds, venue branding<br />
and other off-site events.<br />
<strong>2017</strong> was no different. Boasting a record 23 bespoke and modular<br />
exhibiti<strong>on</strong> stands as well as being resp<strong>on</strong>sible for the graphic<br />
design and installati<strong>on</strong> of all the event signage for the show at the<br />
CTICC, AFest hosted at Shimmy beach club, and the <strong>AfricaCom</strong><br />
Awards at The Lookout located in the V&A Waterfr<strong>on</strong>t.<br />

Our planning capabilities, attenti<strong>on</strong> to detail and dedicati<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong>site<br />
has ensured that yet another <strong>AfricaCom</strong> has been completed<br />
successfully.
The 7th year we have worked with WIOCC at <strong>AfricaCom</strong> and the fith time we have c<strong>on</strong>structed a double storey<br />
structure for them. This exhibit is a 9m x 6m corner booth utilizing an i-beam structure to create the sec<strong>on</strong>d tier.<br />
The stand’s key stand-out feature was the custom aluminium lighting secti<strong>on</strong>s that covered the entire exterior of the<br />
stand. Sheer transluscent fabric and striking backlit graphics really made WIOCC a show-stopper.<br />

We have many favourite projects over the course of a year, but every so often <strong>on</strong>e comes al<strong>on</strong>g that trumps the<br />
rest. Maxtec Peripherals allowed us the design freedom to create an exhibit that was hands down the stand out<br />
exhibit <strong>on</strong> the show floor at Africacom <strong>2017</strong>. This project caught the eye of every<strong>on</strong>e that entered the halls. A dual<br />
level pavili<strong>on</strong> incorporating Maxtec and a series of co-exhibitors in an envir<strong>on</strong>ment that was highly c<strong>on</strong>ducive to the<br />
fast pace of Africacom.<br />

sp<strong>on</strong>sor branding at the <strong>AfricaCom</strong> C<strong>on</strong>ference & <str<strong>on</strong>g>Exhibiti<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g> at the CTICC. Sp<strong>on</strong>sor Opportunity sites Throughout<br />
the CTICC, a variety of banner sites are positi<strong>on</strong>ed that sp<strong>on</strong>sors can purchase for the event durati<strong>on</strong>. These are<br />
positi<strong>on</strong>ed at strategic points that allow for maximum exposure to the 10 000 attending delegates. Sp<strong>on</strong>sors are<br />
