Colorectal cancer (CRC), also 

known as bowel cancer and colon 

cancer, is the development 

of cancer from 

the colon or rectum (parts of 

the large intestine). A cancer is the 

abnormal growth of cells that 

have the ability to invade or spread 

to other parts of the body. Signs 

and symptoms may include blood in 

the stool, a change in bowel 

movements, weight loss, and 

feeling tired all the time.

Breast cancer is cancer that 

develops from breast tissue.[8] Signs 

of breast cancer may include a lump 

in the breast, a change in breast 

shape, dimpling of the skin, fluid 

coming from the nipple, or a red 

scaly patch of skin. In those 

with distant spread of the disease, 

there may be bone pain, 

swollen lymph nodes, shortness of 

breath, or yellow skin. 

Risk factors for developing breast 

cancer include being female, obesity, 

lack of physical exercise, 

drinking alcohol, hormone 

replacement 

therapy during menopause, ionizing 

radiation, early age at first 

menstruation, having children late 

or not at all, older age, and family 

history.

Kidney cancer -- also called 

renal cancer -- is a disease in which 

kidney cells become malignant 

(cancerous) and grow out of 

control, forming a tumour. Almost 

all kidney cancers first appear in 

the lining of tiny tubes (tubules) in 

the kidney. This type of kidney 

cancer is called renal cell 

carcinoma. 

The kidneys are two bean-shaped 

organs, each about the size of a 

fist. They lie in your 

lower abdomen on each side of 

your spine. Their main job is to 

clean your blood, removing waste 

products and making urine.

Liver cancer, also known 

as hepatic cancer and primary 

hepatic cancer, is cancer that 

starts in the liver. Cancer which 

has spread from elsewhere to the 

liver, known as liver metastasis, is 

more common than that which 

starts in the liver. Symptoms of 

liver cancer may include a lump or 

pain in the right side below the rib 

cage, swelling of the 

abdomen, yellowish skin, easy 

bruising, weight loss, and 

weakness.

The bladder is a hollow organ in the 

lower part of the abdomen that 

stores urine until it is passed out of 

the body. 

The most common type of bladder 

cancer is transitional cell 

carcinoma, which begins in 

urothelial cells that line the inside 

of the bladder. Urothelial cells are 

transitional cells, which are able to 

change shape and stretch when the 

bladder is full. This type of cancer is 

also called urothelial carcinoma.

Cancer can be treated 

by surgery, chemotherapy, radiation 

therapy, hormonal 

therapy, targeted 

therapy (including immunotherapy su 

ch as monoclonal antibody therapy) 

and synthetic lethality. The choice 

of therapy depends upon the 

location and grade of the tumor and 

the stage of the disease, as well as 

the general state of the patient 

(performance status). 



1. GeftiNat (Iressa or Gefitinib) is 

cancer chemotherapy 

medication. 

GeftiNat (Iressa or 

Gefitinib) 

interferes with the 

growth of cancer 

cells and slows 

their growth and 

spread in the body. 

Gefitinib is used in 

the treatment of 

non-small cell 

lung cancer. Iressa 

tablets contain 250 mg of 

gefitinib and are available as 

brown film-coated tablets for 

daily oral administration. 


2. Erlonat (Erlotinib) is a kinase 

inhibitor which is primarily 

used to 

treat cell 

lung 

cancer, or 

pancreatic 

cancer 

when 

combined 

with a 

certain 

other 

medicine. It 

works by 

inhibiting growth to adjacent 

tissues in the body so that the 

cancerous cells slow down, 

allowing the patient a better 

environment to recover and 

fight the cancer naturally.

3. TYKERB ® (lapatinib) is used 

with a medicine called 

capecitabine (brand name 

Xeloda ® ) for the treatment of 

people with advanced or 

metastatic 

breast cancer 

whose tumors 

overexpress 

HER2 and who 

have received 

prior therapy 

including an 

anthracycline, 

a taxane, and 

Herceptin ® (trastuzumab). The 

most common side 

effects reported 

are diarrhea, fatigue, nausea 

and rashes. Of note, lapatinib 

related rash is associated 

with improved outcome.

4. Sorafenat is used for the 

treatment of primary kidney 

cancer (advanced renal cell 

carcinoma) and advanced 

primary live 

cancer.Sorafenat 

(sorafenib 200mg) is 

a cancer 

(chemotherapeutic) 

medication. 

Sorafenat 

(sorafenib 200mg) 

interferes with the 

growth of cancer 

cells and slows 

their growth and 

spread in the 

body.Sorafenat (sorafenib 

200mg) is used to treat a type 

of kidney cancer called 

advanced renal cell 

carcinoma. It is also used to 

treat liver cancer.

5. Bortenat 2 mg injection 

belongs to the class of drugs 

called proteasome inhibitors. 

Proteasomes are proteins 

which play an 

important role 

in growth and 

multiplication 

of cancer cells. 

Bortenat 2 mg 

injection blocks 

the action of 

proteasome, and 

reduces the 

growth of 

cancerous 

(actively 

growing) cells. Before taking 

bortezomib, consult your 

doctor if you have any of the 

following disease conditions: 

disease of liver, kidney, heart 

or infections like fever with 

rash or genital sores. 


6. Nanoxel 300 MG Injection is an 

anticancer agent which is 

used in the treatment of 

various 

cancers of the 

female 

reproductive 

system, lungs, 

and breast. It 

should be used 

under the 

supervision of 

a qualified 

physician. 

Close 

monitoring of 

blood cell count is necessary 

while receiving this 

medication.
