of the departments were run by doctors whose books I had<br />
read in medical school, so I considered myself very lucky.<br />
I graduated from King’s College, University of London with<br />
a Masters of Science and a PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) in<br />
Clinical Dermatology.<br />
A most memorable period of life.<br />
It is a challenge when you set out on your own away from<br />
everything familiar and try to make it in a place that doesn’t<br />
know you, where you are young and very inexperienced. I<br />
consider it a turning point in my life. Instead of taking the<br />
easy and more secure path, I took a jump, a leap of faith.<br />
Working in the new set up, was inspiring. When you<br />
are young and vulnerable, you are easily impressed,<br />
but the fact was that I got a chance to work with great<br />
physicians, leaders in what they do. I was going into it<br />
with a very innocent and open mind so it was a great<br />
opportunity to learn.<br />
Dermatology was my destiny.<br />
“While I was there I started to build up my interest in<br />
dermatology. It’s true that my mother was a dermatologist<br />
but it became more and more interesting to me because I<br />
actually happen to be again in a hospital, which had the St.<br />
John’s Institute of Dermatology, the primary dermatology<br />
hospital in the whole of UK.<br />
This is how I always say how God plays your destiny<br />
sometimes. You don’t plan it, it just happens. Soon I became<br />
known in the hospital and people started to understand<br />
where I come from, what are my work ethics. When I joined<br />
